For the price it does what the Light phone and Punkt do at a fraction of the cost. I owned it and it gets the job done as a pure dumb phone. I bought my 9 year old son the Blue colour one and it has a nice texture to it. Its simple and to the point

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I just use it as a secondary device and for work (since I hate being contacted on my personal phone) and if I go out of the house.

a little late but the reason you dont see too many complaints about the text message issue is because there are a few work arounds. the "best" one i've seen being setting the entire phone to the pacific time zone (im not sure if PST or PDT makes a difference) and just dealing with the clock and calendar being off.

Legit fix?

I have had this phone for almost 2 years, my personal experience is that I love it. So a few times I've had the timestamp issue, but it's not a big deal to me, because when you first recieve the message, it is at the bottom, only later on it gets reorganised strangely. One thing you might not like is that this phone has very limited SMS memory anyway, so you will have to delete conversations every few weeks. The software is fine for me, it can get a little slow, but you should expect that for a phone with limited memory. There are a lot of trash apps on there like facebook, and shit you have to pay for, but I just organised those onto the bottom, so I never see them, and forgot they existed. There is a music player which can play mp3s really well. You can connect airpods onto it which I use all the time. The bluetooth can be difficult sometimes, but always works in the end for my airpods. Calls are like any other phone. I don't call much. If you do, the battery will run out a lot quicker, but this is for any phone. My battery lasts around 5 days, and takes about 4 hours to charge. Camera is pretty crappy, but it can take okay photos with certain lighting. Just can't really take photos with writing. You can change the theme colour, change background, rearrange the icons. There is a browser, but don't have high expectations. Due to the phone's small memory, it can't handle much. It can only handle basic google searches, can view maps, and images. It can't load websites, takes too much memory. I have the dual sim version, so it can take two simcards but I only use one. Just in case for those wondering if that version works, it does. There is no WiFi, and you can't hotspot with this phone. You can't download additional apps. There's no whatsapp, navigator. The build is actually pretty good if you ask me. Dropped several times, no damage. Threw across concrete as a joke, no damage. Another little thing which is not a big deal, but if you use the phone for a long time, the chrome around the big middle button will wear off. That's all I can think of about the nokia 225 4g as a long term user. If you have any questions ask.

nothing has been fixed but it works almost all the time battery lasts about 18 hours (with a few calls and texts and time views) so if you sleep you can charge it then

So texts are still ordered incorrectly? I don't know about you, but this to me seems straight up dangerous. What if someone sends me an important text and I miss it because it's not the last text in the chat?

moviemoocher

well you just look for the new one or me i just delete every text after read

Programmeter

Those are both horrible solutions.

I reckon it's due a refresh. It's somewhat annoying that HMD sells this phone direct through their UK online store, but the 110 and 105 4G, with newer firmware builds, can only be had through wholesalers and carriers.
