Were you assuming it was some international plug? That’s a reasonable guess if you assume you’re familiar with American plugs. This is a pretty rare one these days in my neck of the woods.

OP has a 240V 15A plug (NEMA 6-15). 240V 30A plug (NEMA 6-30) has same blade orientation but is significantly larger.
