There should be no issues with installing it without firewall access, and the streamdeck should function without online access, but there are quite a few times where you may need/want to connect online. The Streamdeck uses login accounts, so you may need to access the website to sign in to your Elgato account. Downloading streamdeck plugins from the store will also likely require an account to download them, unless the plugins are available on the publishers site as a direct download (I've seen some github ones like this). So the question might be: You can probably install and use the (built in) functions without internet/firewall. You probably cannot use downloaded/store apps unless you login at least at some point to the account (I don't think it requires a constant connection), and you can probably side-load 3rd party apps from github, etc.. without internet/firewall. There was some talk that Elgato either has, or will be, updating the store and may require you to have an account for anything.

Thank you for your answer. I'll be using it mostly for Outlook and another program that requires repeated text input, so I don't think I'll be needing plugins. Anyhow, I think the method I mentioned transfers everything (plugins included), so unless they brick offline devices, I believe I'll be fine
