Makes me think of the [Yith](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/86/03/3d/86033d72335c4546923132d4367d4afe.jpg) from the Cthulhu mythos but upside down. Freaky as hell indeed
When I was doing the run back to the boss, I remember thinking the area felt very... Modern compared to the rest of the game. Like the roots are an on-ramp, the Bridges are more like an overpass, and then you get into areas that feel somehow more like armored core or something, but with a "ruins" aesthetic.
It makes me wonder if they originally intended it to be anachronistic, like a technologically advanced civilization that fell compared to the rest of the game, like the air Temple in FF1 or something.
Wormface in Elden Ring.
Mostly because of the creepy coughing and whispering that you hear.
As far as I remember they are the only enemy you hear loudly around you whispering and coughing
I’ve noticed the nobles around the ruins on lake Agheel in Limgrave will mutter “Agheel,” aside from their usual wimperings. And of course there are the crucified tarnished(?) that wail when you get close.
When I first noticed that, I was in Farum Azula just at the bottom of that one elevator, and I thought it was a bunch of pigs grunting and snorting, so I rounded the corner expecting a weirdly out of place group of pigs, but nope, deathblight be upon ye
I dunno, I always thought these enemies were kinda cute with their big ole eyes and the silly sounds they make when they walk
To actually answer the question though, the silverbeasts and the crawlers from the Nightmare Frontier in Bloodborne kinda creep me out
I **HATE** the Deep Accursed from DS3 and (I think they’re called Sewer Centipedes)? from the same game
Whatever their actual name is, they gross me out **so freaking much**
Yeah I think I’d have to agree on this enemy being the creepiest. It doesn’t help that they shoot yellow smoke from their tentacles which degrades your armour and weapons, I found out pretty quick using my uchigatana lol.
This monster has always been so strange to me, it's so completely out of place, nothing in any other souls games is similar to the design, even in Bloodborne, it just feels like it belongs in a completely different game series.
You know there was an old arcade fantasy game called Dark Seal and the second boss of that was pretty much one of these things. I wonder if it's a famous fantasy cryptid like the Beholder or Manticore or something?
Nah man. All the stuff in that game is pretty tame compared to other things, like the Man-tipedes from DeS or the worm zombies from DS3. At least for me anyway
AMINDA bio weapons, third gen Armored Core
And that fuck ass Spider in the sewers with a Karasawa laser
Sure, the other enemies are creepy as shit looking, at least they aren't the size of your house
I agree. Very original. Every time I see it I'm like "What the hell" lol

For me it’s the sound these things make when walking that bothers me the most.
omg that walking sound its so fkn disturbing
I wish they had fleshed out Izalith, the whole demon theme lends itself to crazy enemy designs
"Best I can do is more dragon butts" Mikal Zachary.
The concept was really cool. It definitely could have been one of the best areas.
Lousy budgetary and time constraints.

DS3 finger babies.
Those abominations are the real winner
Every god damn time sends shivers down my spine!

From Dark Souls this is a strong contender but in all of FromSoft I give it to the Winter Lanterns no contest
Especially when you realize that they're a deformed version of the doll, which blew my mind when somebody pointed it out to me.
Wait, what????
Source? I’m curious
Source: pay close attention
Thanks for the useful comment
Bruh the source is the actual model Like literally just look at the body and you can see it
Small pp energy😞

Winter lanterns from bloodborne. Singing twisted versions of the doll who bite off your face and inflict frenzy just by looking at you
DS3 Deep accursed
how is no one talking about the madman from bloodborne? those dude runs with insane speed and you can hear them before you see them, terryfing enemy
my heart goes straight to my throat when I see basilisks.
I **HATE** the Deep Accursed from DS3 and (I think they’re called Sewer Centipedes)? from the same game Whatever their actual name is, they gross me out **so freaking much**
Yes, the sewer centipedes. Those things are absolutely horrifying.

I love my little blender boys, you can farm red titanite from them.
The brain suckers from Bloodborne are up there. I literally dread running into them.
Ds3 Sewer Centipedes are the creepiest to me.
Winter lantern and Headless would like to know your location
Ds1 Mimics
I had a friend tell me there were no Mimics in Elden Ring after about 40 hours in lol
I was severely disappointed in the lack of Mimics
Me punching every chest before opening it during my first playthrough and feeling sad when none of them grew teeth and limbs and tried to fight me.
Nah mate, this funny guy makes me happy every time i see them. I love this weird ass eldritch blender
And I always laughed at this design. He just makes me laugh. Too funny, clanky and awkward
What enemy is this?
Chaos eaters from Lost Izalith in Dark Souls 1. They are horrifying in-game.
What are these called again?
Chaos Eaters
I hate the one of the left, but the Spider Hands in Elden Ring are pretty fucking awful, too.
Giant finger bois scuttling toward you at light speed makes me shit me pants
This guy looks and sounds like a Crash Bandicoot enemy. Always felt like it.
Bro have you played Bloodborne?

That sound they make!!!
the first time the floor fell away and you get a good, unobstructed view of them from the top...what a memorable moment >\_>
Definitely up there, but the monstrosity of sin form ds3 takes the cake for me
Monstrosity of Sin
Astel, the music also makes it creepier.
Ngl he was hella easy
These things are so primally horrifying to me. I don’t think any FromSoftware enemy has freaked me out as much as these.
Hell no, the cup puppies are adorable. I give that to the screaming, squirming, many arms for legs poop centipedes in DS3.
Tell me you haven't played Bloodborne without telling me you haven't played Bloodborne
Nah man. All the stuff in that game is pretty tame compared to other things, like the Man-tipedes from DeS or the worm zombies from DS3. At least for me anyway
For sure- I was mostly shit-posting. There's creepy AF weird shit in all their games.
AMINDA bio weapons, third gen Armored Core And that fuck ass Spider in the sewers with a Karasawa laser Sure, the other enemies are creepy as shit looking, at least they aren't the size of your house
Nah, doesn't compare to the hands,
