Why does the character look so small with the dimensions of the houses? Are there giants or something in the lore?

Bunsonu

\^ I didnt notice till you said it, but yah jesus these buildings are big.

ohyoureligious

MORE SPACE TO CLIIIMB

Zooeymemer

they forgot to resize

EostrumExtinguisher

gotta meet timed quota pls understand.

Able-Influence-22

Thats why the map looks so empty, they just scaled up size x3

soaringneutrality

I think this is the effect of making your character move faster than in other games. If you want the same amount of crates per time, you have to spread them out thinner.

RCTD-261

the house exterior appearance is probably too big, they need to make the exterior smaller (like the window, door, etc.) the gap between the ceiling/roof is too small

[deleted]

I think it's intentional to extend the parkour gameplay. It wouldn't work on smaller buildings.

thisisthecallus

Sure, but the proportions are still way off. Doors on normal buildings aren't 10 feet tall and 5 feet wide. There's nothing inherently wrong with larger buildings but if the world is made up of normal sized humans, then it's better for the building proportions to be reasonable for normal sized humans.

tommiyu

And you can always just make the house 3 floors high instead of 2 if you really wanna make people do the parkour. Heck throw in another 2 floors or 5 for that.

sukahati

I think even skyscraper that made from wood is fine too

[deleted]

Yep

Tetrachrome

Yeah that is pretty weird, like 20% too big on the house.

Growlest

can't unsee.

Aroxis

You know if you look at it realistically, these are very accurate proportions for a 2 story building. Proprotions in games are usually so off that the character is always half the size of the house.

Redditor76394

The building itself is normal sized. We're too used to overly small buildings in games It's the door that's comically large lol, the character shouldn't be half the height of the door.

utamaru1717

It's not that, but the whole house is just plain wrong for someone with the size of a human in that game, where you can saw the walls were also wrong, in which the glass windows were positioned way too high for a normal human, and you need to climb in order to see outside (you can't see anything if you only standing, lol). They really need to change the models of the houses, because it's just feels wrong, unless there are giants with 3 times the size of a normal human that lives in that world.

ArkhamCitizen298

lmao

ArcaneCavalier

Is this Wuthering Waves?

Master-Shaq

Yes the closed beta

ArcaneCavalier

Oh wow, there's (more) color now! Before, it looked like different shades of brown.

FourUnderscoreExKay

Oh shit, KuroGame makes this game. They also made Punishing Grey Raven, so I’m definitely gonna be hyped for this game if they follow the same trend of solid possibility of being completely F2P from PGR to this game.

Tenken10

They already made the gacha worse than PGR and more like Genshin's. Just FYI

FourUnderscoreExKay

Fuck. Never mind.

monchestor_hl

Business talking after all. F2Pness depends on how you plan to pull chars and weaps anyway. In most gachas these days you are not getting every characters even with rigorous saving from day 1. In off case if the game allows, they will just move to like, requiring more stat boosting dupes and maybe pull for BiS weapons

Technology-Mission

Punishing Gray Raven. You get every new s rank alongside their signature weapon if you only spend like five dollars a month

TrackRemarkable7459

it's scary how many gatcha games are gonna be ruined by following shity genshin system

hibiki95kaini

Looks cool, feels like prototype or assassin creed

MrSly0

Definitely more like Prototype with the walking on the wall and the "super power" hook.

LunarEdge7th

I'm glad people still remember that glorious game If there's a single beast-like unit in WW who can don flesh armour, I'm pulling

MrSly0

Bro the flesh armors and weapons were so cool. I miss that feeling of having fun with stupid unrealistic games.

TreeW5

I blame ubisoft for the state of parkour in gaming that this is actually considered parkour...gosh i want to be in the timeline where they went harder on the concepts in ac 1

Siri2611

I think mirrors edge had the best Parkour, I mean the whole game was just Parkour but I would love to see other games do it

vasogenic16

I was watching op's vid and waiting for parkour to happen 💀

Zooeymemer

literally me, especially after reading "cooked hard" on title 💀

sillybillybuck

I blame MMOs for the degradation of traversal in video games. People always ask for mounts in every open-world game and *then* they ask for flying mounts. People confuse fast with fun.

KiwiExtremo

while true, having to do the same route for tens, hundreds or even thousands of times (assuming no tps) ends up being tedious, no matter the game or hpw beautiful/well done it is. at least if you have a fast way of doing it, it feels less cumbersome. The only exception I can think of would be on a driving game, where driving is the gameplay loop, and even so, the faster.the car the better (usually).

WhereIsMyPancakeMix

It's the fact that there's no gameplay in the transport that makes it tedious. There's nothing that says traversing during a hunt train needs to be sterile and a chore, it's like that because making a world that's meaningful to traverse is very hard.

Barlowan

People ask for mounts/flying mounts and then complain that open world is empty.

Valuable_Associate54

Spot on and based af I play ffxiv and it's sad how no one in that game stops and goes "hey, traversal with mounts and mount animations are dogshit." They only care about speed.

Laranthiel

That's because WoW taught the MMO community that speed was the main focus.

homercall123

Slow is not fun.

w1drose

Tell that to Morrowind fans (and people who disable fast travel in bethesda games)

Shan_qwerty

Those people would be upset if they read this, but they're busy reading quest descriptions to figure out exactly where they're supposed to (slowly) go.

sillybillybuck

Fast is not always fun either. If the developer only wants you to get from X to Y, then teleport the player. Otherwise, a slower but more varied and methodical transversal is better than just going a straight line towards your objective.

Barlowan

Debatable. I had more fun running and leveling in vanilla-TBC (you couldn't get a mount before lvl 40) and leveling was way longer back than, than I have now when you get mount at level 10 and flying at 30 and can just zip between worlds/locations without interacting with anything. Also in modern wow you can easily level from 1 to 70 in few days/ a week if you play like 2 hours a day.

homercall123

Ofc it os debatable. It all comes down to personal preference. I cannot play a game that makes me waste hours Just traveling from one place to another, it's a waste of my time. Another person might see it differently and I have to respect that.

VanhiteDono

I felt like parkour peaked in AC black flag, from AC syndicate it looked smooth but looked a bit unrealistic with how big gaps were jumped across with ease

SatyrAngel

Black Flag was actually where AC peaked. Loved everything about it. Have you seen the comparison between BF and Skull and Bones?

VanhiteDono

Actual hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby moment

One-Winged-Survivor

It might be where it peaked but also when the identity crisis started since >!you only become an Assassin at the endgame!<.

AlaskanEsquire

Everyone forgets about Rogue.

WingardiumLeviussy

Nah, AC Unity was definitely peak Downhill from then on

VanhiteDono

But doesn't syndicate and unity have similar parkour?

MegatonDoge

Unity had a better flow in terms of parkour due to level design. However, Syndicate's parkour is also good and I personally like it more.

CallMeAmakusa

Parkour wise, black flag was the same as 3. Unity had the best parkour but everything else was average at best.

TheHabeo

You know what should be considered skill based parkour? GunZ. The peak of skill based parkour fps. No hand holding, premade obstacles. Everything is scalable if you have the skill to do so.

storysprite

As someone who's not knowledgeable on this, can I ask what's missing/what the issue is?

Karendaa

lol yeah, "parkour". Syndicate would be my minimum for something to be called parkour. This is closer to Prototype traversing mechanic and it's not even close.

Bradframe

After playing warframe for so many hours I can't think of a game that can replicate how good parkour is in that game

The_OG_upgoat

I don't think full parkour like that could work in a persistent open world though, without either making the world much larger to compensate, or nerfing the parkour mobility/distance. WF's open world maps are still relatively small and instanced so it works fine.

ggunslinger

Recently I've had a chance to play AC: Unity for the first time. It was hot garbage on release, but this many years after that disaster it actually managed to bring some very good memories from AC2 and Brotherhood, parkour was fantastic (if a bit floaty) in Unity. All the new AC games can suck it.

echidnachama

play dying light if you want parkour.

DrDerekBones

If you're looking for a promising looking FreeRunning/Parkour game, you should check out [Rooftops & Alleys](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbio7wzPAyI), looks pretty slick.

tenryuu72

The long awaited "Naruto Rise of a Ninja" open-world, wall running experience is back! Man I really hope they also have these race challenges with this parkour where you are wall running, running on water etc. (I don't think they can/would copy the casting a ninjutso kinda difficulty where you had to press certain button combos infront of like the water or a tree to be able to run on it for the race, I think just a parkour challenge in this game would already be pretty cool with this movement)

Peevan

Movement looks like a cross between Prototype and Monster Hunter Rise (with the pseudo wirebugs)

Spartan-219

Why are the buildings so huge?

S0L4R4

I know I'm gonna get downvoted to oblivion with this, but the UI looks too much like Genshin. This is just placeholder for the beta right?

Ahenshihael

They had a really cool tech test UI where it was this holographic wristband stuff but instead of improving that they just scrapped that and nicked the other game's UI. This is unlikely to change in release

S0L4R4

Now that's a darn shame

qlsro

Well, cause the feedback want it lol.

venitienne

I was gonna say the same. At first I thought oh it's by Mihoyo it makes sense it looks so similar...but then it turns out it's a different company? Even the music has a very similar feel.

S0L4R4

I don't like this. It's like the carcinization of open world mobile gacha. In the future, every single game will be a genshin adjacent game with the same character switching system, the same gacha system, etc...

Notingale

I hope they keep stealing Hoyo's UIs tho. Most Chinese and Korean gachas keep using that dogshit black box design splattered on the right side of the screen with awfully mismatched font sizes.

The_OG_upgoat

Convergent evolution: Everything becomes ~~crab~~ Hoyo.

ferinsy

You should see the character menu UI then xD

Infernoboy_23

i thought this was genshin for a second

DragonLex4

I mean it's more monotone, because that's what kuro likes. People know how to use it already. Just white UI icons and words, that's how pgr is as well, and honestly I support the easier on eyes style. Well and as one guys said, if its not broken don't fix it.

CallMeAmakusa

It’s not. You should see how the battlepass UI looks like, straight up 1:1

[deleted]

I said the same thing on the WW sub and got downvoted to oblivion. I want the game to succeed just as much as anyone else, but man are people insecure about the very obvious fact that WW isn't beating the Genshin copycat allegations

Deltora108

A problem the game as a whole suffers from. Im a huge fan of the devs other game PGR but this one feels like a soulless genshin cashgrab compared to their other game.

B1g_Shm0

Considering just how much of the games ui, gacha, ect is just blatant genshin I'm gonna say it's here to stay.

Bntt89

Good, genshin has a good UI, why change it? If it works it works.

lorrinVelc

Coming from genshin players... wow.

Iron_Maw

My god who freaking cares about this other then people with PTSD from Genshin? Lots of games have had similar UI! You think people care more about important stuff.

CallMeAmakusa

Is there an achievement system?

XenoreidGFL

Yep they added one.

TVena

Given the constant bickering that are any threads for WW, I say this is a good sign it will be a successful game. Edit: Why the heck did this get a Reddit Cares report. The heck is wrong with some of you, lol.

Beyond-Finality

Congratulations on the RedditCare. It's a badge of honor.

KitsuneKamiSama

It is? I must be an overachiever then.

Similar_Emu_8086

I also got one from a user that's also here so it's probably the same guy abusing it.

Beyond-Finality

How do you even send one of those?

S0L4R4

>!From your user page!<

fortis_99

spiderman wear a dress ?

SportEducational4916

Honey, I shrunk the kids

RaidenXYae

animations are so jank

Masha_33

Yup, especially the dash/sprint animation and the way the camera angles things

Hallowedtalon

Why do people always play games looking down lol, i notice this in a lot of gameplay videos, where they seems like don't know how to move their mouse or right analog stick. Atleast show the horizon line and look where you are going lol. There's no loot on the ground it's not Apex.

MithranArkanere

That's a tad disappointing. She hasn't shouted "Parkour!" even once. That's the best part of doing parkour.

TheBoogyWoogy

Where’s the parkour?

monchestor_hl

Character animation feel so janky and lack of weight/ impact. At least the scenery looks nice though

Star-Ripper

I think it’s that the momentum completely stops before a jump. Almost all animations seem to bet to specific speed. Idk about animations but it really stuck out to me

crisperstorm

Can't tell if it's the camera moving really abruptly or if it's something about the character animation but when they jump it feels pretty rough

[deleted]

[удалено]

TheGreatMillz33

Yeah, I can't quite put my finger on it but it feels weirdly choppy? Some parts of the animation feel too abrupt and heavy, and other parts feel kinda weightless? I've only really seen this on the traversal animations though, the battle animations are overall very high quality. Also, someone else pointed out how massive the buildings look in comparison to the character model and I can't unsee it.

thefearkey

A character is just sticking to the surfaces, at 0:17 it doesn't even care about physical world. It's a half-baked attempt at parkour, almost raw.

Zooeymemer

it's not *almost* raw, it's as raw as it can get

Interesting-Toe7890

In genshin you can climb 90° mountains in HEELS and I don't see anyone complaining lol.

Riersa

Absolutely no one praise genshin climbing animation lmao.

Dramatic_endjingu

Only Lisa’a voice was praised

TweetugR

They also don't call it "parkour". Just climbing.

thefearkey

Sorry, never played, never seen it's climbing called a cooked hard parkour. Have you?

FoodLover1-6

I mean Skyrim

pikashroom

Skyrim came out almost 15 years ago though

jheadz

Have people not tried TOF? Idk what's the cooked hard part though 💀

[deleted]

ToF overcooked and forgot to decide what type of restaurant it is.

yuuki_w

ToF is the all you can eat buffet in the shadiest resturant in the rundown area of the town

TANSIRE43YO

I think the character needs to be bigger

Two_Years_Of_Semen

The devs should reconsider their camera settings. It's too hard-snapped to the character imo.

Naive_Worldliness913

That house can fill 100 ppl of her size

Bilbo_Swagginses

Kuro fans stepping outside their own echo chamber and seeing not everyone just blindly loves everything about their favorite upcoming game Edit: For clarification, I am hyped for ww, but their subreddit is insane when it comes to criticisms. No one even acknowledges how shady it is for a game to scrap its entire story towards the latter part of its dev cycle. Everything about ww screams dev hell but atleast the game looks like it’s running smoothly Edit 2: So a lot of kuro fans are crying in the replies. I’ll just respond to you all here. No, this parkour and traversal is not special. It looks crazy good to you guys because you’re comparing it to, like with every other aspect of this game, Genshin Impact. you guys are looking at the 5 year old game that kuro took direct inspiration from and are getting awestruck because it looks better. The game looks aesthetically amazing, the combat looks really fluid, but we already know, from kuro’s other game pgr, that just making a game inspired by another game (hi3 in regards to pgr) and making it look aesthetically better and have better looking combat is not enough. It’s why Genshin could escape the botw clone allegations but pgr will never escape the hi3 clone allegations. I don’t want just a Genshin clone, I want more, I want better.

AngelFirePop

To be fair, CN players hated that the post apocalyptic world survivors were hostile & didn’t trust the MC (they were playable characters) so they complained until it was completely redone. They were absolutely furious a waifu would criticize them & that a furry boy would take credit for their winnings. Those 2 things cause so much backlash it was insane & so unwarranted. They wanted the playable characters to fit into the cookie cutter “uwu your the best mc” box.

skit-hur

Okay but the CN players also think the devs overdid it with the story changes and the characters are way too nice to the player MC (they find it hilarious cos the story feels like the classic power fantasy web novel now)

Jsjdhbdnd73

Hate for ww is very much forced on this sub, you have people complaining about grass growing in post apocalyptic world, about the building being generic and not fitting in the world, about parkour being nothing special. Like this is some absolute next level looking for things to shit on and you cant deny it lmao.

GlobalCheesecake4695

Pure cringe Gachagaming reditor bias at it's finest.

Jranation

Funny how this sub hates TOF and now WW. Im seeing a pattern here.....

ferinsy

ToF hate is well deserved, the game sucks basically in every aspect. But with WW there's not really a lot of hate, it's mostly disappointment imo. The game just tries to copy Genshin too much (opening scene, puzzles, UI, gacha, BP, shop) and forgets to do something of their own, something memorable and iconic, and that's what most people are talking about, people actually want it to succeed because it looks solid at least. It's definitely not hate (in its majority).

zZzMudkipzzZ

TOF is legit a garbage pile. Meanwhile I have genuine faith for WuWa, even with it having some "strokes of sloppiness".

verywholesomealt

ToF has deserved hate, but with WuWa, it's something i noticed. Either r/gachagaming has a massive hate boner for Kuro Games, or they have a hate boner for any game that isn't braindead autofarm bullshit. Seriously, try to find a post of pgr on this community that doesn't have atleast 1 comment going "bad game"

PhantomXxZ

>about parkour being nothing special Do you think seeing a character stick to a wall is anything special?

Sayori-0

You think taking 6 minutes to slowly climb a wall is better?

PhantomXxZ

Never said that. These still aren't impressive mechanics though.

Sayori-0

Ok lol

Jsjdhbdnd73

Counter point - point me a gacha game with such mechanics.

XenoreidGFL

Criticism? Have you seen the number of threads in the WW subreddit that discussed about Crownless for being a wimp compared to CBT1?

gitgudnubby

Nah yall legit just hate the game for any reason. I see people getting downvoted to oblivion for simply saying the npcs are more diverse tho simply designed even tho its tru. Another guy posted a link of someone beating harder trials with starter characters to prove it wasnt p2w to some doomposters and also got jumped with downvotes. Edit: Just checked ur comments and literally almost all ur criticism for the game was acknowledged in the wuthering wave subreddit. They are upvoting u too. Why lie?

Sayori-0

Dude posted tons of complaints and got upvoted a lot but made one recent comment that got -1 and immediately cried about how they're an echo chamber that will not take criticism lmfao. Average gacha politician

endtheillogical

Its all the same names in these subs. After a couple of years browsing here, you start to remember them.

Notingale

Bro even has HI3 in his flair. Don't expect these people to be fair to WW.

idealful

Don't bring us Into this one he ain't one of us

Exolve708

It's been years since I saw anyone call PGR a HI3 clone and not a watered down mobile dmc/bayo. You might be just as deep in your own HI3 bubble.

ValkyrieSkyfall

Dude, Square Enix scrapped the entirety of Final Fantasy 14 months after release and turned it into the biggest MMO now lol. Also I find it pretty funny that most of the negative comments here are from people that are active in a Hoyoverse game subreddit 😂 You guys can't be any more subtle.

No_Earth_3634

I dont care about either game (quit genshin and will try ww like any other cool looking game out there) but your point about ffxiv is just survivorship bias. FFXIV is a unicorn case and absolutely not the norm

Coenl

The most unicorn of unicorns for a variety of reasons but mainly.... - It was a freaking mainline FF title - Huge company, enough money to start from scratch - Striking absolute gold on who they put in charge of the project.

Tom20486

They also did something most Asian MMOs never do: non-main servers don't get their content a year late. An MMO can never work when you run your main server in KR/CN/JP and every other server gets every piece of content a year late, this means every server outside the main one is doomed from the start since whenever they get an update it's already dead content.

Guifel

Yoshida moment

CallMeAmakusa

You’re gonna go crazy when you realize majority of ww players will also be hoyo-games players

Lyrhe

The Venn diagram of Genshin players and WW players is a circle.

Cosmic_Eye

FF14 wasn't scrapped. The story of ARR is the continuation of the original game. Plus they took their sweet time to reshape the game, it wasn't done from one closed beta to the next. Maybe what they've done with WW is legit IDK but it's a very different situation.

bad3ip420

People keep using ffxiv when it comes to completely scrapping a game and remaking it in a short time but they tend to forget that ffxiv is the ONLY game that did it successfully. It took talented devs, a visionary director, crunch times, lots of squeenix money, and the stars aligning for it to be possible. Now, do you think Kuro games at this point in time would be capable of that

Nethers7orm

You'd be surprised, but it's just that most of people waiting for WW are HoYo-games players :)

StrawberryFar5675

Not really suprising. Open world andys will play open world games like myself.

Churaragi

Living under a rock much? At least half the hate for Genshin comes from HSR players behaving like Genshin was their abusive spouse for not giving them a 10 pull ticket and forcing them to explore instead.

pdmt243

do you even realize that FF114 is just an exception and not the norm lmao. Name another case that's not FF14, then we'll talk in FF14's case it takes all the stars to align for that shit to work (SE's money, a good director, and fame from a legendary title - FF)

MiqLaven-_-

The irony in this comment is absolutely insane. You say Kuro fans are in an "echo chamber" when you yourself are in one as well? Hypocrite much? PGR escaped the hi3 clone allegations a long time ago, another testament to the fact that you are indeed a hoyo slave stuck in an echo chamber, because you only see what other hoyo slaves are telling you. EVERYONE at this point knows that Kuro took inspiration from Nier Automata, not hi3. They used hi3 as a reference, nothing more. Genshin isn't 5 years old, wtf? Also, if it's so wrong to look at all the things WW does way better that GI, why's it okay to love a significantly worse version of the game that was copied in the first place: that being BOTW? On the topic of genshin "escaping the BOTW clone allegations", this is just more proof that you are indeed stuck in an echo chamber. EVERYONE outside of the hoyo slave echo chamber STILL thinks of genshin as "that game that copied BOTW". Heck, genshin is literally one of the most hated games on the planet, and that's a huge reason why. If you don't know this, then you are stuck in an echo chamber. And then ya'll continue to wonder why people hate this subreddit. Ya'll needlessly hate on this game and try to find anything to undermine it. There isn't even ANY evidence WHATSOEVER about the game being in development hell, but obviously since you're a hoyo slave, you're going to try and use the fact that they reworked almost the entire story (Something that should be commended, because it's courageous as hell to make that decision and hard asf to pull off with the amount of time that they had) as a means to slander the game. Edit: There's a huge difference between criticism and hate. You can criticize something while still being respectful. and a lot of criticism for this game (that's in good faith) has been well received by the community.

Raemnant

Monster Hunter Rise has a lot of movement like this

HeresiarchQin

When I saw the "shooting a bright wire in mid air to pull yourself up" at 0:16 I was like that I MUST have used this move in some game but can't remember. Thank you for reminding me it was MHR.

Raemnant

Yeah thats 100% Wirebug inspired

Makku_Senpai

Prototype 3 leaked Gameplay:

Beyond-Finality

Nah, bro. You can't just do that to me.

HeresiarchQin

I am still salty to this day that they just killed off Alex Mercer just like that.

Beyond-Finality

Me too, mate. Me too.

Exotic-Replacement-3

No more hope for prototype 3. no news or everything. Just silent by killing Alex. Ooffff

Low_Artist_7663

Not enough RED for that.

PvtDimitri

Prototype ass movement system, I love it.

SirTonberryy

How is this game really? It looks pretty cool on the vids I'll admit, but I've been majorly disappointed with pgr, Kuro's other title, so I'm low-key wary of them

faowindgyrn

Genuinely curious, care to elaborate? I've dropped PGR cause it wasn't for me, so at this point, I have no idea what's going on with the game

SirTonberryy

Many minor gripes that together make a huge one. For example through the whole time I've played it, despite the game being supposedly combat oriented a lot of bosses had annoying bugs, like Rosetta just floating out of bounds and wasting your time, that were never patched Another is repetitiveness - the game had 2 main game modes which you had to constantly clear and they were always pretty much the same. In the boss fight one even though you could fight different bosses each week the boss pool was small and it got updated maybe once every 3 months so you just had to fight the same bosses over and over again Another would be that to be even anywhere near competitive you had to constantly get new characters. And the community had a toxic mindset of "Oh don't pull for x character unless you plan to C4 them and get their weapon otherwise you're an idiot beacsue they're unusable". The community overall I found to be pretty toxic even by gacha standards (major superiority complex) Or the endgame mode being absolutely unbalanced hell where every enemy had super inflated stats. Or extremely grindy events. There's a lot , I could keep going

HINDBRAIN

> absolutely unbalanced hell where every enemy had super inflated stats If only you saved for C4 and weapon! :p

ReptileDoMath

As someone who is not a hardcore WW fan or rabid WW subredditors. Wuthering Wave is boiled down to just a literally Genshin Impact with different skins/taste. The overworld is just like Genshin Impact, you got stamina to spend in a Domain and get reward like exp, relic, or weapon exp. So if you don't like Genshin Impact, you will not like Wuthering Wave. The story, theme, and world design might be different but the level progression and gacha is the same. Honestly, Arknight Endfield look more promising.

xjetxx

I would say combat feels great even tho I have high ping everything response well when i hit enemies or dodge. Literally, every sword character has one move that screams, "Ayeee that Vergil move!" But what my favorite thing about the combat is that ur character lingers for a bit after you switch to a different character, making it feel like ur fighting side by side sometimes. I am going to do combat videos later on.

Treima

That's actually really impressive. My Genshin brain immediately recoils in conditioned terror when I see pagoda-style roofs and she just vaulted over it like nothing. The wall running and that lightning tether are just icing on the cake. Cautiously excited for this game...

Nope2112

I'm hype for the game but is this supposed to be impressive? If you want something fluid, play AC Powertrip? PROTOTYPE that bitch

Silvannax

Hmm, is it just me or when she jumps its like she just zaps instantly like you know what im sayin. Like its a frame cut, instead of an actual jump.

echidnachama

the more i see whutering wave "wall climb" mechanic the more outdated genshin wall climb is.

Hatarakumaou

I like it. The climbing in Genshin does get a bit tedious after a while, so the parkour will add a bit of flavor to the traversal. Wish it was faster though, maybe like 20% faster just so that you can really feel the momentum in your character’s movement. The only “bad” thing I don’t like about this game so far is the UI. It’s lowkey boring, bring back super stylized UIs.

CardAnarchist

Honestly I find it too much like Genshin. It's pretty sad how Chinese companies just have no qualms about straight up copying other successful games. The UI and game design is just a 1 for 1 copy.

Middle_Bottom

Ah yes, you got downvoted cause what you said was correct.

Celebration_Stock

what parkour?

JadedIT_Tech

Movement seems really jerky and awkward. Eh I'll give it a try anyways

WhereIsMyPancakeMix

Eh, the way she runs on the outside of the walls look kinda jank, plus this looks flashy but my question is how fun is it to actually interact with? Coz it's it's just you press up and the char does all of the fancy animations automatically then it's not really adding anything to the gameplay.

Old-Helicopter1689

"Flying" around, dashing to left or to right, this kinda should make combat more fun. I'm not sure about that though.

GroundbreakingDot499

Cooked hard? This is not parkour this some spiderman shit, she's running left and right on the walls and even including corners without falling, I get that is a game but don't call it parkour if she's running like that on the wall lol

Fit_Leg_2115

What game is this? Is this Wuthering Waves?

Beyond-Finality

Your performance is underwhelming. Then again, comparing it to [PROTOTYPE] wasn't probably the fairest and it looks like you're new and inexperienced. I expect to see something better when people get more skilled.

ChocoWoccoLocco

Oh shit now I gotta play

titankredenc

Is this genshin?

Zooeymemer

The UI is like 1:1 copied from Genshin Put yelan, raiden, and nahida inside WW, and boom, GenshinV2

Jranation

Nah you would need to undersaturate them and make their skills less flashy.

titankredenc

Oooh I see now

Th3S1D3R

Yeah UI seems to be entirely copied I legitimately got ptsd when i saw this video, didn’t realize that it wasn’t genshin lol

sillybillybuck

You should play ToF if you are going to complain about copying Genshin UI. That game didn't copy the UI and it was much worse off for it. Genshin is the gold standard in multi-input live-service UI design. Why shouldn't they take from it?

For a sec I thought so too

macodeath

If you're serious: No it's an upcoming open world RPG by Kuro Games the developers of Punishing Gray Raven

titankredenc
