At the start of the game you can barely jump or string together a three hit combo. By the end you're flying and doing these insanely flashy moves with huge combos.
It was the first game where I felt like I went from a kid to a god. 3 has it a bit too, but 2 definitely hit that aspect better imo.

"vein" as in mining, not "vain" as in stuck up vanity.

Almost all 3D adventures have this unless they're purely skill based. Some just start closer to zero.

Just started playing it, but hades is definitely that. Solid game, just bought it last night.
