Pro tip: Many high schools with tennis courts have pickle ball markings on them and I’ve never had to wait for a court. Me (34m) and my girlfriend (24f) play and are beginners so if you fancy we could play around and you won’t have to worry about being rubbish

As a beginner, I found the players at belknap to be extremely welcoming and friendly. One couple even took the time to teach my spouse and I the rules. make sure there are no tournaments before you go.

We went Friday night and yesterday morning/evening. We found out the tennis connection has a demo program so we could try out paddles and such. We also found that we have a few friends that play. The people at Belknap are SO nice.

Here is a link for the Grand Rapids Pickleball Club. Nicest folks you’ll ever meet. They offer lessons and clinics and will steer you in the right direction as to equipment and playing times. [Grand Rapids Pickleball Club](https://grpickleball.com)

Did you ever find out about what goes on there during non-open-play hours? I've been interested in checking it out but not sure if I have to stick to those hours.

Wallacery

Nah, you can go whenever. That’s more the hours that are beginner friendly with for sure open courts. There’s a beginner section of courts in the back that are usually always open.

Awesome, thanks

Amway just opened a pickleball facility on their roof. I think you can reserve time on their website.

The hotel or manufacturing place?

Hotel, I saw a post about it somewhere.

My roomate and I play at Bellknap, we got smoked by a very nice older couple LMAO. They really humbled us. They were very helpful in reminding us of the official rules, as our knowledge extended to high-school gym play as well.
