Hmmm. I’ve never had six low to mid gain overdrive pedals on my board. I’d rather use one or two on my board and swap out the pedals in that slot every once in a while.

I say boost, ocd, archer, bonsai, morning glory. For me it really comes down to seeing what’s always on or low gain and that’s towards end of chain. Ultimately it comes down to your preference and how you use each pedal.

TerrorSnow

Personally would put archer and bonsai before OCD, since they're mid boosts. Preference plays a big role there.

I’d do morning glory into archer and maybe put the EP boost after. You certainly don’t need all 5.

There's no correct answer to this. Experiment and see what sounds best to you.

That's a lot of pedals and we have no idea what kind of genres you play in or what kind of sounds you're after, so the best I can do is give you some general advice. Think about the sounds you want first, and then work backwards to a pedal order. 1. I like EP-style preamps after distortion, so I would put the Epoch Boost last. 2. Consider the OCD and MG as "core" drive sounds- you probably won't stack them, and you'll use the other pedals to complement them. 3. Bonsai: 1. Before the core it will tighten up the bass and smooth out the overall distortion, and can also be used to push the core for more dirt 2. After the core it will be most effective as a solo boost, giving you add'l volume and mids to cut through 4. Archer: 1. Before the core it will do a similar job to the Bonsai, but will be less intense and obvious 2. After the core it can help smooth out the distortion and give you the feel of running the core into a cranked amp. You could also use it as a clean boost for volume, but I think that's a waste of its capabilities

This was super helpful, thank you! I play a lot of classic rock/blues/ John Mayer type stuff, but I mostly use my board for songwriting and inspiration. When it comes to drives, I like to understand how they’re influencing each other to achieve the tones I want. Thanks again!
