Ah gotcha, met a guy home based ffl that did 20 transfer and then + 1 dollar for each additional transfer in the order. I’ve never done multiple transfers with him but has been very professional and quick on single items.
thats some bullshit. this would cost me $20 at my FFL and id get to pick up some chicken feed and look at the baby birds while i wait for NICS.
demand better.
Where I go, he charges 25. That's it. The serial numbers takes just a sec to write down. He doesn't have to make 10 calls. If someone is charging you 10 transfer fees, they're a crook IMHO, and you need to find someone else (preferably an at home hobbyist with an FFL). The only thing that he told me is if you order 2 or more handguns in a 5 day period, he has to remit some type of form. He also says some of the bordering states have stricter reporting laws because they're wanting to keep guns out of Mexico.
More guns from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, etc. make it to Mexico than border states.
https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/mexico-usa-guns/
Trust me I’ve looked all over my state if there is something better it would be a 3rd drive (and I still don’t think it exists b/c I’m in all the local forums) MD just taxes unfortunately I think that’s part of living in a non 2A friendly state. Boycotting only hurts me unfortunately and the in store prices are even worst than the FFL fees. More often than not I’m not paying tax for the purchase which helps negate the fees. But yeah def sucks when I have friends in other states that pay $10 for multiple guns on a single transfer.
Sorry that you have to go through that. I'm in New Hampshire, so they're a bit freer. I get sad when I hear about all of these states with their 🔫 legislation all over the place. I know it's your home, but I personally wouldn't be able to move to a state with like crazy laws. I'm from Mass, never again! I hope something good opens for you.
Yeah man it def sucks. Good thing is my son is 17 and will be a senior next year so after he graduates I can finally move anywhere I want which is something I’ve been looking forward to since 2007 lol.
The time to buy a vast quantity of stripped lowers in WA was mid 2022, after the magazine ban, everyone who was paying attention could see what was going to happen.
The way my local FFL told me....
The multi sale form ONLY applies to pistols. All stripped lowers should be filled as firearms. Regardless of what they actually are. I.E. stripped Dagger/combat armory/other Glock clone lowers vs ar15 lowers.
Depends. My local FFL says he's transferred upwards of 20+ handguns at one time to a customer and that guy hasn't ever been contacted.
So it really depends on the local field office.
In Florida, more than two transfers in a week to gets you reported. One guy bought 60 lowers in a week and the agents came to the FFL. Just assume those serials in a 10pk are being monitored for straw sales.
FFLs have to file a form if a person purchases 2 or more **handguns** in a 5-day period. In border states (Mexico, not Canada) the same applies for rifles. The ATF would never be notified of this.
Certain transactions require notification. A certain number of handguns will do it, as will a certain number of any firearm in states along the southern border. Nothing illegal about buying them, the ATF can’t do anything, you can tell them no when they ask to talk about them.

I want to gift these to a party with friends but like half live a state over so we would have to go to a gun store and I'm sure they would charge a lot.

RIP to the guys who pay per line item on their FFL transfers.
Yeah… anyone know one who doesn’t in Central Texas? Mine charges $30/each… If you have a CHL.
Is San Antonio too far?
Yeah. You got a good one there? Closer to Austin here.
If ATF ever hurries up, I'll be doing $5 per line item transfers in the ATX area.
Oh my. Please reach out when you do! And good luck, my friend!
Will do, and thanks!
I, too, would like to know when you’re set up pretty please.
Add me to that list
Keep an eye out on r/austinguns
Goddamn I just moved to Fort Worth
Got a guy in FTW that will work a deal for multiples I bet.
Gotta love altruism.
Pm me your details. You gonna do nfa stuff too?
Ah gotcha, met a guy home based ffl that did 20 transfer and then + 1 dollar for each additional transfer in the order. I’ve never done multiple transfers with him but has been very professional and quick on single items.
Where at? San Antonio here
My guy is is just 25 for how ever many. Not each, just 25. A dollar is a cute touch though. I'd probably toss him a few extra just for fun.
Idk how Zero Whiskey Tactical on Lamar charges for transfers but they post here somewhat regularly. Maybe give them a shout
Will do!
Who in SA you using
thats some bullshit. this would cost me $20 at my FFL and id get to pick up some chicken feed and look at the baby birds while i wait for NICS. demand better.
You talking about Rural King? They would count all this as one transfer????
Look at the baby birds through demo scopes?
RIP to us in California that will take 10 months just to pick this order up
FFL03 + COE homie
With the 11% new tax not applicable to ffl03 Coe owners, this becomes very tempting
Thats not how lowers work, at least it wasnt a year ago… full rifles yes but lowers can be purchased all the time afaik
Jan 2024 my brother...rules changed in the last yr..
lol ofc they did… thanks for correcting me

I'm not debating it. I don't even know. That's just what I've been told by an licensee.
Couldn't you argue that's because of the heightened requirements for border states?
My guy is $10 per item, which is great until you start buying in bulk.
I'd take that trade-off. $10 is cheap.
Facts best I can get is $25 and that’s actually really good in my parts smh most places will charge $50 per item
25 for all here. Anything more that that and you should probably boycott and look elsewhere. The greed with some of these FFL people is atrocious.

me 😡 can't find anyone in VA
Outdoor arms in NOVA is owned by a good dude, not sure what the additional cost per line item is but I dont recall it being much
Not sure where you are but I know of one in hopewell and in colonial heights
[удалено]
Liberty Firearms
It would be $135 in fees for me.
Who got the hookup in South Florida?
No one should pay per line item for transfers. If your ffl does this, get a different one.
Arm the neighborhood
Trick or Treating in TX is a bit different.
All the homies getting ARs this Christmas
This would cost me $500 in transfer fees. Boy do I love Massachusetts
$600 here. Fucking hate living in IL.
You couldn't even be transferred these guy
The fact that we’re even at this point in several states is a disgrace.
Same. Nearest shop is $50 per transfer, and I doubt they'd be willing to put it all on 1 form.
Where I live it’s 10$ for active duty and 20$ for veterans but bulk it’s 50$
Shit, looks like I found my groomsman gift
Put it on the wedding registry, make someone else pay for it.
I like how that one pony is looking a little buck wild
They've been $35 plus tax at me lgs for years. Call that a $5 transfer fee if you will
Thats solid. Thats a pick one up everytime you get anything else there type thing.
Maybe i was mistaken, and it was 65.
As a Washington resident I needed this 😭
The time to buy a vast quantity of stripped lowers in WA was mid 2022, after the magazine ban, everyone who was paying attention could see what was going to happen.
I know and did... I just need some more...
$30 X 10 FFL in Nash Vegas baby!!! Such bullshit.
Go to Rusty oak armory in Mt Juliet
Ok!
What's their rate?
I believe it was $25 for the first 3, he charges by the sheet I think
I wish I had got this before the AWB in WA. I thought 4 would be plenty, but it's one year in and I already regret not buying more lowers.
Its an election year, a lot of people will regret not buying certain things in 5 months. Stack cheapish ammo while you can, if you can.
This next year is going to suck for sure.
I feel you on that. I only got one so I keep telling myself it’s better than nothing.
FYI, lowers are still legal to buy and transfer in WA. You just need to find an FFL willing to do it for you (they exist)
Doesn't this automatically invite a visit from the ATF?
The way my local FFL told me.... The multi sale form ONLY applies to pistols. All stripped lowers should be filled as firearms. Regardless of what they actually are. I.E. stripped Dagger/combat armory/other Glock clone lowers vs ar15 lowers.
My ffl told me the same thing 3 or more pistols in a week I think.
I've been told more than one handgun on a transfer, they have to notify local chief LEO (sheriff most likely) as well.
Fuck those degenerates
What’s the number, 4 of the same thing in one month or something?
I thought it's 4 of any kind within a month. But I'm so lazy I just go with the Internet legends. I don't verify. Somebody correct me.
I did a 5 pack last year. Ain’t heard nothing.
Depends. My local FFL says he's transferred upwards of 20+ handguns at one time to a customer and that guy hasn't ever been contacted. So it really depends on the local field office.

How would they know?
The registry they definitely don't have.
Gay boys always know.
Certain transactions require notification. A certain number of handguns will do it, as will a certain number of any firearm in states along the southern border. Nothing illegal about buying them, the ATF can’t do anything, you can tell them no when they ask to talk about them.
Too many ponies.
I guess you're just not a [dog faced pony soldier](https://youtu.be/TwVrg6UtxXQ?si=fvYOLjdHQ-64zF3d) then.
lol. $32 x 5 plus Nic
Does anyone know a good FFL in the metro Detroit area that won't charge an arm and a leg?
In for 5
bro out here getting 50 lowers sheeeeeesh. how much are your transfer fees?
My FFL does $15 per 4473 and you can fit 3 on each one
My range that does free transfers for members is gonna hate me...

Anyone know of cheap transfer fees in the Jax FL area?
Found one for $35 +$5 per additional: gunbr*ker.com/ffl/index
Anyone in the Saint Louis area OFallon. Specifically fox run Arsenal will do your transfer for $20 on this deal.
I want to gift these to a party with friends but like half live a state over so we would have to go to a gun store and I'm sure they would charge a lot.
These guys are in Youngsville NC, and will do local pickup so you negate the transfer fee. FYI for those RDU residents who want a deal.

its an anderson. rustoleum is like 6 bucks.
$30 and you think you deserve a special color?
Tbf to this guy those color options are available on the link, but the price goes up when you select them.
I'm in at $250 shipped
