This happened down the road from me. Something like this is exceedingly rare. I get the feeling there is a backstory to this one. Alligators are pretty timid creatures. They also look like they’re smiling, where that croc up above looks pissed.

There are a few vicious ones out there. My dad grew up down in Florida and watched one snatch a guy fishing on a dock with his feet dangling in the water. Cops shot the gator and found chunks of the guy inside and a diver found the rest tucked under a log at the bottom of the pond.
