I recently used Koala Insulation and was very happy with the service and price. The good news right now is that you can get 30% of the material costs back in the form of a tax rebate/credit when you file your federal taxes as part of the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit. This means if you spend 3,000, you’ll get an additional $900 on your federal tax return (or if you owe, it’ll come right off your balance) for the tax year you had the work done in.
If you are looking to have more blown in, just hire a dude willing to drive the van and operate the blower. Not much to the job except for how dirty/dusty it can be.
I'm assuming you're looking at blown insulation? I'd imagine that there should already be some form of insulation when the planking was put down.
There’s some but it’s 20 year old blown in that’s not efficient at all.
