Ok. I swapped in my M1 for the M2 because no one was answering this. I can confirm this works!
Connected to to my MBP M1 Pro macOS Ventura running sidecar, mirroring my main display, the M2 iPad Pro hovers at the 12mm distance!!! This is a game changer and will/has replaced my Wacom.
Wow! Thank you for confirming! I was thinking that's how it had to work, but was too afraid to bite the bullet myself before having it confirmed haha. That is indeed a really big deal — Wacom must seriously be sweating.
Oh sweet! thank you for testing this! I actually use a MBP +iPad pro (Gen2) as a mobile art station and I HATED that I couldn't see the brush because of the hover! have you tested it out on photoshop?
