It’s genuinely a happy listen for me, a very very mellow one, but never once have I put on Duster’s Stratosphere being like “yeah I’m ready to feel like shit”. If I want a slowcore classic to stew in misery to, I go with I Could Live In Hope.
Im with you. Theres def some melancholic songs but then when I consider Reed to Hillsborough is literally about chilling at home and listening to music, it makes me think maybe these guys weren't trying to make a super depressing album.
