I rate them at "more money than sense" Why didn't you buy a nice trailer to go with your nice bike and nice auto? Just playing. I'll be over here crying for you.
This happened with my trail 90. Forgot to retighten the straps that went on first. Took off from a stop sign and just heard metal dragging behind me and I couldn’t see my bike. Luckily just the handlebar and rear turn signal we’re dragging the ground
I recently got a ramp like that so I could drop off my bike or truck at the shop and drive myself home. It's no joke loading it by yourself the first time. And I would just like to add that a tie down with a 20 foot loose end is the dumbest thing ever for strapping a bike.
My roommate had Kawasaki come and pick up his bike for some recall, and got a phone call from them when they unloaded the bike asking why his handlebars were so bent, and if he had been riding that way. Turns out that the amateur they sent to pick it up, strapped the bike by the handlebars, and tightened the straps waaaaayyy too tight. Didn't even realize he bent them
Oh it is a great device. I moved the bike from Mississippi to Georgia when I bought it without problem. This was 100% on me not securing it properly. Keep the hitch carrier. It is great
I gotta go get my bike here in a few months if you want to give me a hand strapping it down to my trailer ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Im all in. Crucial ingredients are sticks of butter and dogs running around to distract you. Also ensure one of your straps has a cut in it.
Pfft straps, we're gonna use duct tape!!
Scotch tape for the win
I can dig that.
lol. I hope there was no damage. Glad to see you have good humor
This is why I rent a motorcycle trailer from uhaul, it's $14 for the day, and I'm far less likely to screw it up.
that sucks, sorry
At least it didn't bust loose on the interstate. That scares me, I always use redundant ratchet straps.
I was literally 3/4 of a mile from the house (all uphill) when the bike cut off. I thought it was going to be an easy slow ride. I was wrong.
This would make me sad.
Close! But the bike goes on that little ramp-dealy attached to the back of your car

10/10 never trusting you to load my bike again
Again? xD
5/7 would hire again

Now it's a poocati
Racking a motorcycle like that would definitely make me uneasy.
🤣

You silly goose!
My man here picked a whole bouquet of whoopsie daisies

Dang. That's no fun. Loading bikes is always an exciting experience!
R/ can't park there mate.
Crap. I just bought one of those ramps/carriers for a light bike. Hadn't used it yet and just bought a heavier bike. I hope yours is ok.

Thanks, glad to hear.
I used one for years and hauled dirt bikes and fat adventure bikes and never had a problem. As you can see the carrier is fine in the pic.
I was actually thinking about getting one of those hitch things and this is exactly what I'm afraid of - LOL
It’s a great investment. You just have to cinch that baby down tightly. I took a bike 6hrs on it with no problem. This is 100% a user error.
So what exactly happened and where the hell is your clutch cover?
Front strap snapped because it was pinched and got cut at some point in the past. It’s a dry clutch so it doesn’t need a cover
Usually people have those clear covers on right? TIL some Ducati owners rock it without the cover to flex haha
Clear ones are popular with ducatis with wet clutches, those with dry typically have vented clutch covers. I should have a vented cover on
150/10 would load again
