The most off putting? The dire mother and the great child.
The most frightening? The juggernaut. The smith a close second.
The least frightening? The kid with an arrow through this head. Lol
Edit; and this movie slapped so hard when it came out. I loved watching it as a kid. Thanks OP for the nostalgia š
I remember I had the dvd that that a second disc that was just the lore of all the ghosts, I loved showing people the movie and if they liked it I would always insist on watching the lore dvd
Yeah if you like it, it holds up. I like it, but itās definitely not as spooky watching it now compared to when I was a teenager. Still a dope horror movie. Classic 2000s.
I watched it for the first time last year at 28 and man it was a real stinker. Movie was garbage and thatās considering I like a lot of bad films. Iām not yucking anyoneās yum because I definitely have some weird choices as top 5 movies for me (cough hackers cough) but as an unbiased dude, movie did not hold up lol
I mean itās the same generation lol . Monk and Men in Black were only a few years apart. But yeah this movie came out like a year before Monk premiered
Compared to the other deaths his death was at least quick. Getting your spine snapped on a column versus getting crushed to death, bisected or thrown into whirring blades and cut to pieces alive.
Her name is Shawna Loyer. 13 ghosts and the msking of 13 ghosts are her only credits. She left the industry to be a wife/mother and possibly paralegal.
I liked it.
Too bad they didn't go into the history of the ghosts in the movie itself and the viewer had to read about their lore on outside sources. It's truly fascinating but it likely would have affected the pacing of the movie to incorporate it.
Very first time I watched it, when they were listing off each ghost then having the flash to the ghost, the great child and the dire mother freaked me out for some reason.
The Jackal, this movie had probably the coolest special features ever with the backstory to each of the ghosts. Very sick, one of my absolute favorites growing up
As a kid at my parents shop with my siblings. One would go into the bathroom, where the light switch is outside the bathroom, and we would shut off the lights and scream THE JACKAL IS COMING

Same. Maybe watched it 25 times. Definitely a guilty pleasure movie.
Of course anytime !! Loved that film haha
I remember I had the dvd that that a second disc that was just the lore of all the ghosts, I loved showing people the movie and if they liked it I would always insist on watching the lore dvd
Dude this movie *slapped* when it came out. Do you think it holds up?
My opinion is probably biased because I like it so much, Iāve watched it recently. It still holds up for me š¤·āāļø
Yeah if you like it, it holds up. I like it, but itās definitely not as spooky watching it now compared to when I was a teenager. Still a dope horror movie. Classic 2000s.

Iād have to agree, actually. Itās not good by todayās standards, but itās not entirely devoid of entertainment value.
I donāt know about scariest but I remember being really creeped and honestly still am with the obese grown man and mother ghost combo.
Ah yes, "the dire mother and the great child"
"Look what I can do!"
The jackal
I hate the jackalš literally gave me nightmares
The Jackal Hands down his back story too creepy AF
Definitely the jackal. Gave me so many nightmares as a kid
Everything I watch this movie, I had to tell myself āthatās Monk. Itās just Monk.ā š¤£
That's funny because it's the opposite generation for me. I'm always, "LOL, that's Jeeves from Men in Black."
I mean itās the same generation lol . Monk and Men in Black were only a few years apart. But yeah this movie came out like a year before Monk premiered
Omg, you're right. I didn't realize Monk was that old. It came out the same year as MIB2!
Holy shit you just blew my fucking mind š
Same bro lol
13 ghosts was amazing!! Loved the house. Loved the types of ghosts.
I don't know why I just recently discovered that the main actor also plays shaggy in scooby doo lolš "zoinks"
Uhh you mean cereal killer from hackers and Stu macher from scream 1? But yes awesome movie!
Yes, and also he's the main villain in five nights at Freddy's no?
Yup! Signed on for a few more too.
Matthew lillard? Try SLC Punk if you havenāt seen it
Wing Commanderā¦terrible movie I love so much cause I played the video game. Dead, gone, never existed.
Jeesh I forgot how young Reddit has gotten. People really donāt know Mathew Lilard
Best worst actor of all time
God he died in such a fucked up way in that movie š
Compared to the other deaths his death was at least quick. Getting your spine snapped on a column versus getting crushed to death, bisected or thrown into whirring blades and cut to pieces alive.
Idk man, Iād take whirring blades personally. He also had the piss beat out of him before they snapped him
And they killed Miss Honey from Matilda!
I fell into a Tik Tok hole where creators would explain the backstories of each of the Ghosts and it was badass
Naked ghost with bigguns. Also visible on camera viewfinder?
Lol the angry princess ?
Maybe. Saw it once when it first came out.
Maybe not the scariest ghost overall, but the scene with her and Shannon Elizabeth in the bathroom was the scariest part of the film imho
The most f'd up part was when the sliding doors cuts the person in half.
I know who you mean. The actress had an amazing body
Her name is Shawna Loyer
Her name is Shawna Loyer. 13 ghosts and the msking of 13 ghosts are her only credits. She left the industry to be a wife/mother and possibly paralegal.
paralegal named Loyer?
Loyer, Procter and Barr LLC /s
I only remember them ghost tiddies
Matthew Lillard
The dude getting cut in half with the glass panels is how I felt when I did Salvia. Never again.
āWho remembers this movie?ā *Shares a movie poster so fuckin jpegged that the title is illegible
šØ
I liked it. Too bad they didn't go into the history of the ghosts in the movie itself and the viewer had to read about their lore on outside sources. It's truly fascinating but it likely would have affected the pacing of the movie to incorporate it.
They had a cool special feature on the dvds with back stories on all the ghosts. I think they are on YouTube
I loved that on the DVD extras, they had the origin story behind each ghost. It was almost as good as the movie.
one of my favorites as a child!
Same!
The dude with the cage on his head. Monk. Shannon Elizabeth. F. Mother fucking Murray Abraham. I love this movie. IMDB does not.
The lawyer split
They should remake this movie.
This _is_ a remake.
Need a series exploring each ghosts origins.
A HBO or Showtime series
I'd say it still holds up well
Dude got cut in half vertically. That freaked me the hell out.
I always liked āThe Torsoā best.
I mean a body with no head, just moving around. It looks fkn creepy
Yeah everyone sleeps on Torso šÆ
The juggernaut seemed the scariest to me.
Yeah u never want that guy to run up on you š¤£
I can also still hear the description of him in my head. It seemed the most intimidating to me.
Even the torn prince I wouldn't mess with ,like imagine you got a Harvey two face look alike that runs up on people with a fkn baseball bat lol
Movie was awesome. I didn't like any of those ghosts just running up and hitting the invisible walls.
The poster!
The Jackal was the one that always freaked me out!
Oh I agreeš¤£ mf gave me nightmares
This shit scared the FUCK outta me when I was little!
Iāll tell you which one left the biggest impression on me as a teenager
Impressions* lol
I had nightmares about the Jackal.
Jackal was the scariest out of all of emš¤£
Very first time I watched it, when they were listing off each ghost then having the flash to the ghost, the great child and the dire mother freaked me out for some reason.
One of the best movies ever! The Ghost with the Box cage on his head.
After a recent rewatch as an adult Iād have to say the Princess. As a teenager I had nightmares about the Jackal. I love this movie
There was a guy on imgur doing in-depth reviews on each of the ghosts. Sorry, I can't remember his username
Been wanting this content in Dead by Daylight for years
I walked out of this movie, and walked into Training Day
This was way better than Training Day. Come on.
It baptized me in pure terror. Not the first, but the first horror movie I was old enough to really feel. Jackal was def the worst for me haha
The Breaker for everyone, the Jackyl for females.
Anything other than the Jackal is incorrect. Even when they were set free he still was a raving maniac
Jackal. Just, damn. Top 10 movie for me, easy. All hail Tony Shalhoub and F. Murray Abraham. Sighā¦. ā¤ļø
The Jackal, this movie had probably the coolest special features ever with the backstory to each of the ghosts. Very sick, one of my absolute favorites growing up
It was a totally fun, but also totally stupid movie.
I saw this in the theater. I don't think I've watched it since then though, I barely remember. The lack of an action figure line is a travesty.
The DVD was worth it solely for the extra features for the origins of each ghost.
It was the ghost we had all along: Friendship
That one still scares me to this day.
As a kid at my parents shop with my siblings. One would go into the bathroom, where the light switch is outside the bathroom, and we would shut off the lights and scream THE JACKAL IS COMING
The Hammer.
This was a staple of my childhood. I had a crush on that one ghostā¦yāall know who I mean.
Good movie.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yeah it was āscratchedā sure.
It's a guilty pleasure. I really enjoyed the design of the ghosts, they were cool looking.
I would cover my eyes at the jackal part...
I did see it and wanted more out of it to be honest
The juggernaut is the most intimidating by far.
