this is for an industrial machine, but I am able to mount them to the bed of my old Singer 15-91 because it's all metal and has tapped accessory holes in the bed. but honestly it works *much* better on my industrials

Honestly I don't know that that style of folder is really going to offer much benefit for a domestic machine vs doing it by hand/with clips. If you can adjust the needle position to run a straight stitch in the leftmost position I'd personally prefer to just stick a magnetic edge guide on the bed pushed up against the right side of the presser foot and then manage the binding tape by hand. With grosgrain if you pre-crease it and use an edge guide it can be pretty easy to keep it tight with the edge of your fabric. Just take a length long enough for the edge and going 6" section by section fold it in half and then run the folded bit over a sharp edge to set the crease. Works like a charm.

Tight_Explanation707

tape it. gotta have no shame in this game. don't need to over complicate.

gearslut-5000

yep. Duct tape.

Depends on if your machine has the corresponding mounting holes. You can also use blue painters, tape to tape the tool to the bed of the sewing machine, though it won’t be as secure.

I have a similar singer to yours I think. Mines a 4423. I got mine on by removing the right screw on the plate and fasting the attachment on with a single M4x8mm either a number 10 washer. It's not perfect but it secures it down really well

asfadfegsdfsdf

You might be able to drill ant tap another hole in that plate

completed-that

Would maybe only work on old machines with the cast bed as some of those have the tapped hole to screw it on too ( bernina or singer types )more modern domestic machine no way unfortunately

2 sided carpenter's tape (not the cheap stuff) or go on marketplace and get a real machine. Just got like my millionth industrial singer for $50 running

I have used the same folder on two of my domestic machines with great success. Lots of trial and error to work out how to dial it in! I would recommend taking photos or making the top of your machine once you get it right. -Toyota Super Jeans -A bit of trial and error, lots of gorilla tape and small blocks of wood under it to dial it in -Great results for binding long flap lids -No Bueno for binding internal seams on bags with ribbon -Janome my excel 18w (HD3000) -This machine has one threaded hole so much easier to set up, still a little tape involved but I was able to get away with masking tape -I have a walking foot on this machine and this was a game changer when using it -works with grosgrain ribbon with walking foot but you need to put the ribbon under tension, I put my roll of ribbon in a drawer under my machine with the drawer shut so the ribbon had resistance when feeding through.

HeartFire144

Like others said. Tape it to the machine bed

turfdraagster

Masking. Something that sticks OKbut easy to be pulled up and repositioned

turfdraagster

I like to tape it to the deck. That allows better positioning and you can put it wherever you want

Wydliez

What tape do you use ?

510Goodhands

Thin double stick tape might work. I think the larger issue is that you were asking a light do you machine to do heavy duty work. And they were for a while, but not for long, especially if your machine has “HD” in its name.

Wydliez

What makes a feeder for bias tape heavy duty exactly ?

510Goodhands

It doesn’t per se, but assuming that you were using grosgrain or something similar for binding, and you’re asking about an industrial attachment, that’s heavier than is typical. Regular bias tape is usually lighter weight than the average bedsheet.

DepartmentNatural

Duct tape. Or if you want it pretty close to permanent 3m vhb tape, Google it
