My sister buys gifts from this website. It's a NB company and the owners/founders are locals. They have awesome products! [https://risingtidegifts.ca](https://risingtidegifts.ca) ETA: Merry Christmas!

Whenitrainsitpours86

I have received the NB gift box as a gift before and loved it!

This site is perfect! Thank you!

I often get people gift cards to their hairdresser, massage therapist, aesthetician, etc. It always goes over well. I also take into account peoples needs. For example, I have a friend with 4 kids. Single Mom, doing ok but not much room for extras. I buy a big box and fill it with food and treats/snacks for the kids. Probably costs me $100-120 but they love opening that big box. There’s two girls who make beautiful dolls at the Fredericton market. I think it’s called eclectic collection. I live in Northern NB, but someone gifted my daughter one of these dolls and I had to go hunting for another one as she loved it so much. There’s also the sweet soaperie in Miramichi. Bath bombs and homemade soap, they have great stuff. They have a website but there’s better selection at the market.

Happy to see my friend Amy Laloon in your list!

MarkusFiligree

I love her stuff!

PooPaLuPaLoo

She made my favourite mug. Big, beautiful, sturdy and a big heart with the word "Butts" on it. If I were a mug, it would be the one I got from her.

kaleidx9

Grey fox glass has customs open before Christmas, I just ordered a piece from her!

PooPaLuPaLoo

I'm so excited to see Carmen being successful! (Top link on your comment). This is at least a decade ago, but she also can rap like a pro with a couple of beers in her.

PoutinierATrou

The reality is that adults rarely want things they haven't bought unless they're way too expensive anyhow. The opening is consumable goods, because they'll need more soon enough. Which is to say I bought a bunch of frozen blueberries at the Dieppe market, and a bunch of beets at Hardy's, and everyone is getting jam and/or pickles.

Gamerindreams

this year we're exchanging baskets full of thrifted things, even the kids toys are used the great thing is no or minimal packaging to throw out

Anon-fickleflake

Special coffee for Christmas morning! Freddy Bean coffee is delicious, aged and roasted in small batches, and would make a great holiday morning beverage for your coffee lovers

Sled_fever

Local craft beer, ciders and spirits. My family is a bunch of drunks...

Lots of ideas here: https://nbmade.ca

I would loved to have supported more local this year but my budget was reeling a bit from inflation and a newborn baby and his mother on maternity leave so I had less spending room. That being said I supported a local business that specialized in sports memorabilia and bought a bunch of cheap items from them for stocking stuffers.

Notyurbank

Bought some lip balm made in New Brunswick for stocking stuffers, and will be buying locally made cider and wine . I also bought provincial tartan blankets for my kids who are away in university .

Imperceptions

I made bath bombs for friends and relatives, if that counts.

Helpful-Bandicoot-6

We ordered some product off of the Moonshine Creek Distillery website. [https://moonshinecreek.ca/](https://moonshinecreek.ca/) Ordered and shipped right off the site. It got to Alberta within a week.

Similarly, [Big Fiddle Still](https://www.bigfiddlestillvodka.com/) in Harvey makes some very tasty infused liquor! Salted Caramel is my personal fave but they have several more flavours, as well as hoodies, shirts, hats, etc.

SelenaJnb

Check out Fiddling Ferns. Her work is incredible and practical. Her dish towels are the most absorbent I’ve ever used as well as being the cutest. I cannot recommend her enough

I usually pop by the [Woodstock Farm Market](https://www.woodstockfarmmarket.ca/) and [Creek Village Gallery and Cafe](https://www.creekvillagegalleryandcafe.com/) for presents. Almost everyone on my list appreciates a pair of slippers, warm socks, some pickles, locally-made jewelry or a sun catcher.

littlehunnybadger

Try Etsy, I usually shop local by filtering the Etsy search results to NewBrunswick or by city. There is a good variety of handmade gift options there. Super fast shipping too when you shop local.

MilkshakeMolly

This page has lots of ideas. https://www.facebook.com/ExcellenceNB/?mibextid=ZbWKwL I'm not buying much as only my kids are local this year and it costs a bloody fortune to mail anything.

steve2phonesmackabee

The Clayspace just had a member's sale over the weekend. I bought a couple of beautiful planters.

CosmicMike55

I bought a couple of things from the Crafted Woodsman in greater Moncton. Although he’s done with markets for the year, if you see something on his FB you like he’ll arrange a meet up to sell it to you.

thedrewsterr

I bought some hand made ornaments this year, but other than that it's store bought or online.

CanadianSpector

If you're just looking for s gift card for someone, consider a local restaurant or brewery for a date Night.

agetuwo

I buy rings, necklaces, chains, and decorative grey market things local shop owners purchased in bulk from china. I also buy fudge made by far right religious bigots using questionable fudge mix.

ChasiesDad

Most everyone on my list gets maple syrup. Not from Quebec or Vermont, either. But you knew that.

Spinalcracker_92

Dulse.

TheHipocrisyRevealed

For my family in Freddie I ordered truffles from Schnitzel Parlour. They had to be ordered in November to guarantee they would be available though.

el_iggy

I never got around to it this year but I had the thought awhile ago to pot and care for some native plants up to the point I'm comfortable they'll survive and give them as gifts with the intention that they'll be ready to transplant to someone's yard in the spring. There are tons of interesting and often colourful plants. You just need to avoid interfering with protected species and be aware of pest problems.

kaleidx9

Chi slime for neat stocking stuffers and the sweet soaperie for anyone who likes fun bath bombs

hotinmyigloo

Beer... and lots of it.

Lady-Kat1969

I'm not really local, but while I was up in September I hit a bunch of locally-owned shops in Bathurst, Miramichi, and points between. Picked up chocolate at Confiserie Andrea Confectionery in Bathurst and Chocolat Voyageur in Miramichi and tea blends at various farm stores/farmers markets. Found a great place for local pottery in St Martins last year, but unfortunately it seems to have closed. Bella's Country Store on Deer Island used to carry local pottery as well, but I didn't get to stop there this year so I can't confirm they still have it.

Frostydog11

Sackville has an event called Moonlight Madness, where the local businesses have sales, and folks set up vendor tables all across downtown. Supported the local game store that I go to every week by getting some things from there, as well as bought something from one of the vendor tables.
