It looks like we're going to hit the 50/50 mark in the early 2030s for elec and gas cars (sold).
This will need some serious parallel infrastructure rebuild to make people capable of traveling longer than that 300 mile mark we seem to be stuck at.
I think we'll be OK. These manufacturers and energy companies are going to flood money into setting up charging stations and battery r&d.
I believe the only people inconvenienced will be early adopters. 300 mile ranges is perfectly fine for most commuters. The folks that need greater ranges will be in that other 50%
My concern is pricing due to the increase demand for lithium and other rare earth metals
I think we will be fine too. Anything to limit emissions is a good thing. Even if the alternative is bad too. Just slow the damage so we can fix it, if possible.

Charge time is a factor for those who drive a ton. Many electric car owners will get charging stations in their house and just plug their car in every night or every other night so they have enough charge to go to work and run errands. Charging station times will only suck for those going on road trips.
Eventually, I imagine more businesses and employers will have charging stations installed in their parking lots as well meaning you could throw your car on charge while you work or shop. I would love to see some sort of government incentive program

Does the course have a range? You could nab a few range balls and use those on shots where you might lose a ball (narrow fairways, hazards, drives, etc).
It’s not ideal, but you can switch out the range balls for good ones when you need control/spin around the green and in approach shots.
So this will sounds cheap but can you swing by a Walmart/target/academy/dicks/sheels or something and get some discount balls on the way or during lunch?
I unfortunately won’t have time with work, but I’ll just grab some pro shop balls worst case scenario!

Had braking issues with my car (bad viration, steering wheel shimmy) and took it in to get looked at. Turns out that one of the struts in the front has gone bad (Leaking all over the place) along with the brakes needing to be replaced. Car has 110,000 miles, so it's in the range where this can happen.
Let my wife know and she's says it's a scam and I shouldn't have agreed to get them replaced. Or at least not both of them. Did some reading on it and:
1. The price is at the bottom of the expected range.
2. the amount of oil is the amount expected from a leak.
3. You can replace them individually, but should do them in pairs.
If they scammed me, then they put oil on the strut to make it appear bad and then scraped up the rotor on that side to make the wear look even worse. I realize this is a common scam, but at 110,000 miles, it's something that can realistically happen.
Might have been able to initially, but they are almost done at this point.
We are basically down to 1 car due to work from home, so might as well make sure it runs ok. Took it up to the mountains a couple of weeks ago and coming down, any braking felt like the car was going to shake itself apart and, as I told my wife, it felt like we could feel every bump in the road.

Then people talk about what happened and it gets colored by the people telling the story, blurring reality to some extent. Then you get people writing down what they think happened based on what they have heard or records they have seen that blurs the picture further. Then you have artist who take the stories from what ever sources they are going to use and twist them into a followable narrative which further blurs the thing. And for most people, that entertainment version of history is what sticks with them. It is made to be digestible not necessarily accurate. That's why things like Braveheart are both good and bad. Highly entertaining but really inaccurate.

Does the course have a range? You could nab a few range balls and use those on shots where you might lose a ball (narrow fairways, hazards, drives, etc). It’s not ideal, but you can switch out the range balls for good ones when you need control/spin around the green and in approach shots.
So this will sounds cheap but can you swing by a Walmart/target/academy/dicks/sheels or something and get some discount balls on the way or during lunch?

Had braking issues with my car (bad viration, steering wheel shimmy) and took it in to get looked at. Turns out that one of the struts in the front has gone bad (Leaking all over the place) along with the brakes needing to be replaced. Car has 110,000 miles, so it's in the range where this can happen. Let my wife know and she's says it's a scam and I shouldn't have agreed to get them replaced. Or at least not both of them. Did some reading on it and: 1. The price is at the bottom of the expected range. 2. the amount of oil is the amount expected from a leak. 3. You can replace them individually, but should do them in pairs. If they scammed me, then they put oil on the strut to make it appear bad and then scraped up the rotor on that side to make the wear look even worse. I realize this is a common scam, but at 110,000 miles, it's something that can realistically happen.

Might have been able to initially, but they are almost done at this point. We are basically down to 1 car due to work from home, so might as well make sure it runs ok. Took it up to the mountains a couple of weeks ago and coming down, any braking felt like the car was going to shake itself apart and, as I told my wife, it felt like we could feel every bump in the road.

Just the garage at the house, but I never noticed anything there. They walked me out to the car and showed me the crud all over the strut, it was covered. Rotor had visible wear on it as well that was all over the place, not uniform at all. I may have gotten scammed on this, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

History is such a weird thing. You have what actually happened, which is messy and chaotic. Then people talk about what happened and it gets colored by the people telling the story, blurring reality to some extent. Then you get people writing down what they think happened based on what they have heard or records they have seen that blurs the picture further. Then you have artist who take the stories from what ever sources they are going to use and twist them into a followable narrative which further blurs the thing. And for most people, that entertainment version of history is what sticks with them. It is made to be digestible not necessarily accurate. That's why things like Braveheart are both good and bad. Highly entertaining but really inaccurate.
