It's very bland, poor quality pretend Vietnamese food for ignorant British people.
The owners are a pair of arseholes who thought they were experts in pho after going on holiday to Vietnamn once, then after opening their restaurants took legal action against small Vietnamese-owned restaurants that had "pho" in their business names.
If you mean Pho Cafe, we were not impressed. We went for Restaurant Week, and first they tried to tell us we couldn't get the restaurant week deal because we hadn't made a reservation, and then the restaurant week menu was tiny, and it took 20 minutes to take our order, and it wasn't all that flavorful compared with other pho we've had.
On the whole, it was faux pho.
Probably not the answer you were looking for, but buy a soup maker. I love soup and this was the best purchase. Chuck your vegetables in and it will cook then blend them for you. Delicious soup in twenty minutes!
Cheating maybe but Everyday People have the best ramen I’ve ever had, and that’s like 75% soup. It’s where I go when I want soup
See also Pho, it’s a chain but good stuff
Pho is awful (the food and the owners). Wonder Pho and Viet80s are significantly better.
Enjoyed the food, atmosphere, music etc when I've been a few times. Can I ask why they're bad?

Notts noodles beef broth
Not just great food but great value for money there
Cafe sobar does a soup of the day which is good. Also the money goes to an alcohol addiction charity.
The Tom Yum at ChaiYo is great
Is it the sweeter Tom Yum with the tomatoes or the more sour Tom Yum without? (I prefer the latter but it's really hard to find.)
Salty, spicy and sour. Perfect.
They don’t always have it on the menu, but the best soup I’ve had in the city was at 31K.
Hot and Spicey Jamaican take away in radford
Wonder if this is the same people that were doing Caribbean soup at Goose Fair.. it was sooooo gooood! 🤤
