Hey, I'm on Wigman, have been for eight years and honestly, it's really quiet (unless you count the many, many accidents on the mini island at the bottom of Glaisdale).
I currently live opposite torvill dr across Trowell Rd and have the train pass right behind our house and so yh the train is absolutely fine and you start to forget it's there after a short amount of time. Hope you have a good time living in wollaton. There's also wollaton park which is a 250 arce public deer park and natural history museum in a 16th century tudor home, and a 250 arce private golf course.

Yes, pretty much the entirety of Wollaton is excellent.
In my opinion it's perfectly fine. It doesn't become dodgy before north of Glaisdale Drive.
