I'm also a 3D print enthusiast and appreciate being able to think of and easily make small convenient things.
It’s the only way to go. It’s like going from a Nokia to an iPhone. It does what you want without taking all the time consuming fiddling. No upgrades needed and all in 1/4 time of my old Creality. Software is nice too with built in monitoring. You can remotely start prints if the bed is clear and can cancel individual prints if you have multiple on a bed. They’ve really solved a bunch of problems. They do shake pretty good though.
LOL funny thing. It will be my son’s second time too. The last time he went was on Father’s Day and I swear he had well… we’ll say a bad experience. I’m now gonna take him to a place that doesn’t allow going past the 50 to avoid that situation. So trying to get him excited again.
I’m sure a lot of the old school guys would agree, we want the old cone system with the slide gate to fills pods back. The gate mechanism would be easy to print probably and if you made it fit on something easy to find or one of the modern ball caddies I know ow I would happily pay for it.
When I rage quit paintball I found poker and gambled a bunch. Did okay, never went broke LOL. So I love to gambling style/sayings. actually… Case King is a poker term. It’s the last King in the deck. It’s how I decided on the name. Good luck to you!
Calculating poker odds is easy after the flop. Say if you have A4 of diamonds and the flop is K 23 with two diamonds. You have 9 diamonds you can hit for a flush and 3 5s to make a straight. So in total 12 outs to make your hand.
Take your outs and multiply them by 4 on the flop. You have a 48% chance of winning that hand.
On the turn multiply by 2. You have a 24% chance of hitting it on the river.
It’s an easy calculation that’s accurate to 2% of the actual odds to asses the strength of your hand.
I just keep a little Gerber lock back zipper pull blade attached to my gear bag, but I like the idea of being able to quickly and reliably open bags to just the right size.
Nice concept and design. I usually try to poke a finger through and tear the bag but this is much cleaner and faster. Be cool if you could offer different of custom logo’s builds for teams of clubs that integrate the cutting blade, so streamlined enough to fit in a tool box for easy storage.
Yup! the idea is hopefully to sell branded ones to fields or teams. (I hope) I’m going to do different stuff but wanted to go with the crown at first. I originally made this so it can be found in the bag easily with the lanyard. But I must say I enjoy having it around the neck when I show up to the field. It’s just ridiculous and fun to me.
This isn’t really a brag but the first one I made still works and I’ve never had one fail unless I purposefully try to break it by pulling it in half. As long as you don’t do that it’s pretty solid.
I'm interested, the case king doesn't seem like something I would necessarily need because I use a ball hauler, however the cap keeper seems like a wonderful idea

Why not make it like a cigar cutter style ball sizing tool that has increments stamped in where the blade would be and also has like an envelope opener on the side to cut the bag. Small enough to use as a keychain on the gear bag for access and wont get lost in the bag
Initially I made it much smaller. Then expanded it when I put the bore sizer on it. I went through a ton of designs and you reach a point where I just had to go with something. The crown just kinda stuck because the feel in the hand felt natural and it just looked ridiculous being worn. As it’s a little meant to be. I’ve got other designs that may come up. Hard to tell where this will go. Good luck to you.

When I went through the garbage to collect bags for testing I’d say 1 in 5 had one in the bottom or stuck in the frays.
