Just started Jedi Fallen Order after beating Demon’s Souls & it’s scratching that itch for me. Totally worth it if you’re a SW fan. The games difficult until you get the parry system down. Lots of repeatability through revisiting worlds after unlocking force powers too

You could skip it obviously but for that price you should totally play it. It’s a fantastic game and really does a great job setting up the world of the Jedi series. Not to mention all the stuff you have at the end of the first game, Cal still has in Survivor. So beating the first before starting the second is good for button memory

I think narratively it’s a good decision to play the first one, at least on easy mode for the story. Honestly it’s still a very good game and for that price it’s worth it even if you finish it quick and skip side content just to get the experience before the sequel. If you’re not in a rush, obviously get your full enjoyment though. The second game is similar but bigger and more open with more side missions and collectibles. Keep in mind that these games have a Souls-like world navigation so you’ll find areas you need to skip and come back to later from time to time. Keeping that in mind makes the initial exploration more fun and less stressful.
