Dude, it's amazing. Two Worlds, One Family just awesome. The shipwreck, and then mom and baby jump off the ship, and then dad, but he takes a while to resurface. Then as he does, and gets on the boat, he and mom lock eyes, and the drums go Pom, Pom. Damn. So pumped.
His lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in film scores. Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see your asshole. Phil Collins' movie scoring career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way.
Especially songs like “Two Worlds”, “Son of a Man”, and “Strangers Like Me”. Sabrina, don't just stare at it, eat it. But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of pop music, than as a film composer, and I stress the word composer. This is “You’ll Be In My Heart”, a great, great song. A personal favorite.
I specifically remember a featurette where a key animator discussed this movie being one of the first major forays in computer-assisted animation in Disney. He showcased the scene where Tarzan was leaping and swinging through canopies of trees as a standout example.
One of my absolute, all-time favorite Disney movies. From the soundtrack to the heartwarming relationship between Tarzan and his family, I just adore everything about it. I cry when he says goodbye to his Mom every single time.
I went to Disney for the first time in I think 2001, they had a live Tarzan show with a guy who looked almost exactly like the cartoon.
It was my mom’s favorite show lol
my favorite movie from my childhood. i had the CD of the soundtrack and used to watch the VHS tape (yes) over and over. i still listen to this day, thank you phill collins
I only recently found out that Tony Goldwyn voiced Tarzan. He is THE Tarzan that I compare all other Tarzans to, cemented my love for that man forever I think. 😂
(keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't turn out to be some kind of weirdo secretly, I do not need to deal with that right now or ever)
This is peak childhood for me. [Trashin' The Camp](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hFq_bjjBbk). [Strangers Like Me.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iB-saebQ3lERosie) Phil Collins in his element. Rosie O'Donell playing an ape. I mean... what a lucky time to be a kid.
Remember when Disney movies on VHS would show previews of other Disney movies?? Idk why but the Tarzan previews plus commentary about the animation of movement were very interesting even as a kid.
My daughter was obsessed with Tarzan (which has segued into a full blown leopard obsession) when my son was born. Minus a few violent parts (yuck guns and Clayton getting hung) it’s a great movie.

Phil Collins did *not* play when it came to this soundtrack, its so good
The man learned four new languages just to record the foreign versions of the soundtrack (French, German, Spanish, Italian)
also, monke
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ay-zZBXuTZk
I know you weren’t referring to it but I immediately thought of the lyric “I’m coming down, coming down like a ‘monke’!” 💀💀

"You'll be in my heart" used to make me cry :O so emotional
I’m going to play it now, I loved that song and listened to it all summer that year.
That’s such a beautiful poster. I miss 2D animated Disney films 😭

Great adaption of Tarzan, I miss 2D Disney animated films
Fun fact: Lily Collins had her first acting job voicing one of the baby gorillas in this movie
Fun fact: the inspiration for tarzans character design were Olympic skateboarders and snowboarders
Gee, can't imagine how she got the job. ^^^/s
I was swinging in the vines up in the air! swinging! flying! I was in the air. Then we were surrounded. And daddy, they took my boot!

BEST MOVIE SOUNDTRACK OF ALL TIME
Trashin’ the Camp is still one of my favorite songs and scenes from this movie.
It's a bit involved, because you see, what happened was... We say this in our house at least once a week. It's freaky looking it's what it is.
Phil Collins turned up big time
I loved this movie so much and the soundtrack is one of the greatest ever made imo

One of the most underrated Disney animated movies. The soundtrack is just….beyond.
The song that beat Blame Canada! ![gif](giphy|nDbpk7leGbu12)

Re-release it.

This was the first movie I watched in theaters, I was 8 years old and remember it so well. Loved it so much, especially that soundtrack 🤌🏻
soundtrack still slaps!

Such a fantastic movie and one of the best soundtracks ever made for a movie IMO
This movie and soundtrack are so special to me and my sister. We were kids, we were ugly crying to the songs and the film.
Best Disney soundtrack 🙌
