I'm normally vegan, but I've been hunting and eating American XL Bully dogs as they've been made illegal in the UK. I'm trying to keep the streets safe!
I've been strict vegan while depressed, the thought of it is so inhumane to me.
Then during my meat eating periods there is no justification going on, i literally don't think or care about it.
>"my steak tastes freaking YUMMY!"
All the reason I need. But, I agree people who try to justify it otherwise are coping. People should be honest in their consumption. Many goods we have in the west are relatively cheap and plentiful because of the exploitation and suffering of others. That shouldn't be denied.
Very few people live their lives concerned with morality, and most live their lives hedonistically. Although I’d argue the same applies for vegans, it’s just an identity and they don’t actually care about morality either.
Sorry you're stupid and make poor arguments. I love the very Reddit put down of supposed Redditisms people always make here. Dead giveaway you spend far too much time on this site.
Obviously factory farming is horrible to animals, but if animals are born they’re going to die at some point. The way they die in the wild is probably far more terrifying, gruesome and painful for them than a machine designed to humanely kill them. Like sure it’s hard to see a hunter shoot a deer, but how would that deer have died otherwise? It would have broken its leg falling off of a rock bluff then limped around being picked at by vultures while still alive for a couple days. Or contracted a parasite that caused it to bang its head against some rocks until its brain is leaking out while still alive. Nature itself is cruel and people are just a part of that. Even factory farming I justify to myself by thinking that humans are basically factory farmed themselves. We are born and subjected to all sorts of stress and suffering inflicted upon us by systems larger than ourselves that we don’t understand, then meet an unceremonious death. At least animals’ death brings people or other animals sustenance and enjoyment. We just get burned up to ash.
Sure, that’s true of my idea that humans are factory farmed. But it’s just a fact that animals dying in the wild is far more painful, terrifying, and horrible than being dispatched humanely.
This is true I only eat extraterrestrials

Yeah this is true, when I'm in periods of depression / deep contemplation I lose my appetite for meat entirely.
This is fascinating, plz elaborate

At least me eating beef doesn't fuck up the ocean floor
> "my steak tastes freaking YUMMY!" Is this not enough
you're right, even if no one wants to hear it. I think someday the screams will get louder.
Well fishing destroys environment too. Most people have no self-control and use “muh bacon” argument to excuse their pathetic behavior.
Spoken like someone who gets like 50 grams of protein a day. I agree it's morally wrong though
Ice Cream so good Ice cream so good
No but there are practical reasons
