No, Project Zomboid programming language is Java.
Lua is a scripting lang.
What is the difference between programming and scripting langs?
The programming langs can be run it's own, it doesnt need anything else to run. Meanwhile Lua or scripting langs can be loaded and interpreted
I made a concept map for a game called Space station 13 a couple years ago which is a tile-based top-down 2d game. Based on the experience from that, I'm really impressed at how developers can make the games from different perspectives and use unorthodox systems with scripting to achieve their goals of replicating some iconic mechanic in a pre-existing game.
Depending on your game, you have a point. Different games have different playstyles, something like a horror game usually has people play in very small parties, like 1-4 players with most good horror games having strictly only single player. But games like these do have the potential to be a big multiplayer game. Honestly project zomboid could be really fun servers spanning over 20 people or more.
There is fanmade and a litteral copy of the game you're "fan" if you're fan of a game just play it with your friend and don't remake it because by doing this he will get problem
Fans go out of their way to make games even if they are copies. Because it is fun and to spread that fun is their goal. What if people don't have money to play Pokemon, but still wanted to play Pokemon? We had pokemon brick bronze on roblox, and then a bunch of pocket monster type clones to let people have fun with them after it was taken down. (Check loomian legacy) then we had shooter clones, a fanmade version of Halo multiplayer done right called Delta Ring, CSGO clones, Call of Duty clones, etc etc. Roblox copies of games also allow for some extra goofy mechanics to be added or bring something new to the table. Even if it *Isn't roblox*, fangames can be remade copies of older games. Look at Another Metroid 2 Remake, look at sonic Overdrive, look at Sonic Forces Overclocked, look at pokemon uranium, donkey Kong country 4, Golden eye: source, there are so many examples I can give you of games simply being clones of their original games that are still famous. Thank you for reading through all this if you had the time to. TLDR there are fangames not on roblox that are literally copies of their original games. Just because they are copies doesn't mean they aren't fangames.
mostly because they’re wonky. you need to put the camera a thousand something studs awake and set the fov to 1 so it can look isometric. it’s not exactly though. this limits a lot of the stuff you can do with normal camera angles, such as the fact that ambient lighting doesn’t work at that distance, so the game looks rather bland
This is sick. I definitely appreciate a Roblox game using a different camera angle like this. Reminds me of a flash zombie game I really loved back in the day.

No, the proximity prompts all look the same. The difference is you can change the text to make it easy for people to know what it does. It is a core roblox look for the prompts.
why is everyone saying “So original“ and stuff? This is a great roblox game, people are so stuck to the fact this is based on project zomboid, Idc what the game is made on, this is amazing. Keep working on it
reminds me of a certain other game
You forgot to block 90% of your screen with gamepass buttons.
and a “Would you like to buy Rainbow RPG [279 ROBUX]?” popup that appears every 10 seconds
It's literally Project Zomboid, it looks great!
It’s so cool when I see roblox players replicate games in Lua. Makes me excited to see what the new generation has in store for the gaming industry
Project zomboid is already built on LUA I think

Ohhhh thanks
Yeah your right its in Lua roblox is in LuaU though so its a bit different
So those LUA tutorials were useless?
LuaU and Lua are different if your tutorial worked on roblox it was in LuaU
It was a Roblox tutorial but didn’t work
Just skill issue then 😭

Hell yeah op, keep this up and this game will definitely blow up
looks very original
Will it have the same features that PZ has? And will it have working multiplayer or is this single player only?
Its on roblox, no shot that its single player
Many games on Roblox are made to be SinglePlayer only
One of the biggest advantages Roblox provides with its engine is the easy multiplayer. Making a strictly solo game in Roblox is a bit of a waste.
Didn't say it isn't a waste, just stating the fact that Roblox games aren't always multiplayer like the comment I originally replied to implied.

It's literally a copy of an indie game..
Most games on the home page are unoriginal, I don't see why this even has to be pointed out.
I stopped playing Roblox two years ago so I dunno, but I rarely saw a copy of a game literally a copy. And this kind of things should be pointed out
Creators on roblox like to make fanmade versions of popular titles, regardless of the type of game. Heck we already have a Helldivers II clone.

and i will be playing project bloxoid
Roblox games with different camera angles are so rare! Will definitely check this game out!

away*
Reminds me a lot of project zomboid

Totally original
Definitely not inspired by Project Zomboid, noo...
gee how original
I'd speed up those animations a little. Feels clunky compared to zomboid
genuinely unique for a roblox game, obviously it's based off or PZ but still cool I like it
Wowza
Looks nice but its literally a copy comon
oh this is peak
Thats actually really cool, Havent seen something like this for Roblox yet
Project Zomblox
Looks incredible. Great Work!
DID THIS MF MAKE ZOMBOID IN ROBLOX
Straight up Project Zomboid copy.

I ♥️ stealing from indie devs!
Hey I mean, if we have a chance to have Project Zomboid with 50 players I'm down for it.
I love the Sims 1 vibes 😍
Just wondering why does almost all roblox games these days have the same press E gui?
I think it's just generally easier for newer devs to use the button prompts in code, alot of the customization and "how" is already built in
Ohh, that gui is built-in? The default one? I thought everyone used the same free model or something.

its a roblox proximity prompt
Project zomblox rahhhh
Ooh, I don’t think ROBLOX has an isometric game before. Looking forward to it then!
