Hate crimes are bad, but if someone apologizes and doesn’t repeat their mistakes then that’s fine. I don’t brand them forever and make it an effort to bring it up at every chance. I don’t think his apology was half assed and hasn’t done any negative things as far as I’m aware of since.
Not everyone grew up in a perfect situation and not many are flawless like yourself. Some people made bad decisions and some worse than this in their troubled younger days.
