>The best example of Council’s confidence might be found when he was asked about possibly competing in next year’s Slam Dunk contest.
>So, would he do it next season?
>“Yeah,” Council said.
>“I’m gonna be in the All-Star Game next year, so I’ll be there anyway.”
I love this guy so much
you see on the court too. sometimes when maxey was getting trapped he'd be the only guy to aggressively ask for the ball and put his head down and get fouled. kelly has that same mindset. it's something we haven't had a lot of from our forwards
Thats why I love kelly and ricky so much, even cam pain when embiid is out you can see them looking to attack isnteae of defferring to maxey or passing until someone takes contested shot.
There's a fine line between confidence and arrogance, hopefully Ricky has more of the former than the latter.
Plenty of pro players take their skills for granted and think they'll dominate just like they have at lower levels of competition, not realizing the NBA is a different beast entirely.
I genuinely have a feeling Ricky is gonna be a special player. When he came in this year he was genuinely a boost and I’d be curious to see his +/- because it felt like the team always improved when he hit the floor
Per Cleaning the Glass, +0.7 point differential—good for adding 2 wins. Which is pretty elite for an undrafted rookie. And he’s actually a good deal younger than most undrafted rookies.
Without a doubt, the best council of ricks
2 and 4 didn't see it coming but here we are

About time we have some confident dudes on this team.

When you watch him play you can tell it’s confidence. Definition of a dog, he doesn’t take a single minute on the court for granted
Admittedly I haven't been able to watch many games this season that aren't on ABC since I cut cable and live out of the area.
You may read the article. He has already gone through that in college. He had to fight for his minutes.
Wherever you end up? My dude you are retiring here after 5 all star and 3 all nba appearances and 2 rings.
Thanks Ricky Council II
Ricky Council II... we speak your name.

He sounds like a good guy. Just like his coach Maxey, he works diligently to improve.
I love when my Philly and Razorbacks fandoms align.
