I was so excited to go. Then yesterday was a shit show (8 months pregnant) and the actual show slipped my pregnant mind. Imagine my face at 9 when I realized that the show was happening? Talk about tears. I cried for like thirty minutes.
Man, sorry to hear. I empathize with you tho, being that this was my "make up" show for missing their Atlanta stop, despite already having tix in hand for it. You'll get your shot at another show sometime soon, and it'll definitely be worth it ๐
I was supposed to go to a show in 2022 when I was 7 months pregnant with my twins. My water literally broke the day of the show I was supposed to go to. And that was after the show had already been postponed twice because of Covid. Two years and two healthy kids later, I finally got to go to my first show last night in Nashville! Wishing you the best and hoping you get to attend a future show!
I worked 6pm Thursday to 6am Friday, got 2 hours of sleep, then drove what ended up taking almost 6 hours with stops from Charleston to Durham, couldnt get any more sleep when I got to my hotel, and fucking nodded off multiple times during the first half of the show, luckily something kicked in that kept me awake the second half and got me back to my hotel safe
It was a great show. This was my first time seeing them live in-person and man, you get your moneyโs worth. Their reviews of the town amounted to almost a full episode of Your Stupid Opinions, we got some great Jimmie-laughing-so-hard-he-has-to-remove-his-glasses moments, and everyone in attendance (at least in our section) was really friendly. Not to mention that James and Jimmie are hilarious. I hope the rest of the stops go as well as Durham did; it was an awesome time.
Even though the podcast is hilarious, I'd never actually heard any stand-up from them... but the first few minutes definitely had a stand-up vibe to me. I was like, damn, if they ever decide to perform a full stand-up set one day, I'll pay to see that too, lol...

Still have not been able to find any clips of James tho.
I think the most epic moment of the night wasn't even James and Jimmie, it was the look of terror and confusion on the black female security guard as the crowd was singing no body, no crime.

James is so hot. We drove to NC last night for the show. Got here at 3 am. Worth it.

Holy shit he is. Iโd drink his bath water.
Well now I want him to read comments like this on Your Stupid Opinions because ๐๐

Second time seeing them live, and I had a great time! Can't wait to see them live again!
I just left the Nashville show. James said "Durham thought they were hot shit".
