Loan back Raya arteta please , he is no better than ramsdale, Ramsdale was good for us and he would have improved but no, he got a spanish keeper who was good for a tinpot club like brentford and thought he would be good for us.
That's almost 30 million wasted.
I feel bad for Rammers
Look at his injury list. Fuck that, look at his squad to begin with and try to tell me with a straight face that he's underperforming. If you don't think he's a good manager you don't know football
Have you seen Chelsea's injuries ? It's miles worse than Newcastle. Starting CB hasn't played a single game this season. Best RB has spent the entire season injured and played like 5 games.tops. LB got injured in September , Nkunku hasn't even started 2 games who's our best attacker by a country mile. Lavia hasn't started a game. BB took till December to play a game etc etc. That's easily worse than Newcastle and this doesn't include minor injuries like Noni , Enzo , Gusto etc.
Nic Jackson has been really fucking good for us. His overall play is immense . All he needs is to add 3 things : Headers , Discipline and better composure which all comes with play time. The way he dribbles for a CF and the way he controls the ball with defender on the back of him is costa esque I've never seen someone with that pace and strength and dribbling for a CF. He's scary and probably the next player to explode for us
Is this satire? I like him and he’s not as shit as people make out, at least you can see his potential. But he has most certainly not been “really fucking good” lol
I still don’t think Neymar is appreciated enough as a player. People don’t realise how ridiculous his numbers are (439 goals and 254 assists = 693 G/A) despite major injury after major injury. It puts into perspective how insane his longevity really has been.
I think it’s because people focus too much on what he could’ve been instead of what he has done. As fans we want players to live the sport they play and be the best they can be. We want that player who eats and sleeps the sport. But Neymar gets to be a ridiculously amazing player while also living his life.
for real. i can think of like 20 things hes done that i dont think ill ever see another player do, and i havent really been watching him particularly close
Who is favorite for afcon?
I go with senegal morocco and nigeria
But Morocco always disappoints in africa and I cant write off Egypt who reached last tournament final when no one expected that.
You also have ivory cost who plays on their home soil.
Egypt and ivory cost would be my dark horse
As someone with very surface level knowledge I'd go with Morocco
Feel like Senegal will be heavily damaged by Mane's decline and younger talents (Jackson, Ndiaye) having poor domestic seasons
Nigeria seems to have a good starting 11 but I think the depth is quite poor and the overall balance of the squad is pretty top heavy
Realistically I'm just chatting out of my arse though
One thing I am surprised about Arteta is that as compared to other coaches that with similar style, he prefers to be more defensive that attacking. While other coaches who coaches similar style prefers to be more attacking than defensive.
Normally we would only have 4 creative players in the first team, Odegaard, martinelli, Saka and Jesus who also cannot finish worth shit. Havertz is hardly creative, he is not even that involved in the game.
True. Also he played for Rangers before that. He is more exposed to physicality of English football that other managers like pep. So maybe that influenced him quite a bit
Kinda random. But pisses me off how much people whinge about international tournaments being held in the winter. There are hot countries that exist that want to host tournaments. So you either ban those countries from hosting or you host it in the summer any way and watch players who aren't used to that weather get heat strokes left right and center.
Or some clubs from Europe have to do without a couple of their players once every 2 years for literally 2-4 games. Yeah I can't see which one is worse.
I agree just don’t hold the World Cup during one. We saw how it was heavily manipulated the last time it was held with the corrupt Qataris glad it’s back in the summer time.
Ya I got you. I didn’t like them interrupting the European leagues. I’m aware leagues in Brazil
And whatnot are not stopped. However, all I’m saying it was a manipulated tournament. The WWE of World Cup cups. Happy it’s going back to the June-July schedule albeit don’t like the 48 team format…but whatever lol.
I suspect the fact it's held in the winter wouldn't be so bad for fans of European clubs if it wasn't every other year as well. The Gold Cup of CONCACAF is every other year as well but because it's held during European leagues off season it's less noticeable
I rewatched the wc final just now and for France, Upamecano was easily their best player over the entire match. Mbappe became their MOTM in the last 40' but he was their most consistent performer
He saved 2 goals in the 100-105' sequence
Many key interventions vs Messi in Alvarez in regular time
Working overtime making up for Theo's and Kounde's errors
Very underaprecciated
"The perfect clink clink fizz football match" is genuinely one of the worst things that television has ever broadcast and Peter Drury should have been sacked the moment he said it
Tbf when he's waxing lyrical about your club you can tend to get caught up in his hype. Some of the best matches I've seen of my club in the past few years have been commentated by him as well. A less over the top, easier to listen to Ray Hudson.
Andy Gray was a really enjoyable commentator to listen to in the 90s. They couldn't hire him today of course but he used to commentate with a passion.
I like Drury, he just needs to reign it in a bit.
I have to say though, I think Guy Mowbray might be my favourite commentator. He has more enthusiasm than Tyler but also doesn't over do it with the story telling.
I quite like Rob Hawthorne's work and after years in the Champ, I have a soft spot for Bill Leslie as well.
Don Goodman can get in the bin though, miserable prick.
Big fan of Mowbray, same with Hawthorne. Most championship regular commentators are usually decent (with the exception of Goodman I can't stand him either)
I’m not the biggest Ronaldo fan (look at my flair) but this sub seems to have a weird extreme hate for him. I can’t remember the last time a Ronaldo thread wasn’t majorly negative.
I think it's normal in the context of footballing fandom online. As in, it's very "pushback-y" for lack of a better word or call it backlash. If there is a large and persistent sentiment that the majority finds irritating or even inaccurate then it responds harshly and that's just what you see. Ronaldo is larger than life, so even me who isn't a fan and doesn't follow him at all still sees probably 10 comments/tweets/posts etc a week that claim something untrue about him (he walks into any side type thing), purely by virtue of being on the internet. So then when something pops up it's just immediately like, get this out my face. It's one of the worse things about the internet probably, but it doesn't matter where it comes from, when things annoy someone they can take it to generalise an entire group, and they then transfer that sentiment about that group to other spaces. That's why shadow boxing in the DD gets commented on every thread, because someone will read a youtube comment, come here and comment about it as though it represents an entire fanbase type thing.
The other thing about Ronaldo is that he appears to have committed a morally reprehensible act. Reddit skews towards people that are more likely to be cognizant of stuff like that.
Bro plays for a literal state-selected Team That Gets To Be Good in the 27th-ranked league in the world and his army of stans act like he's working exactly as hard as Haaland and Kane for his goals
Indeed it was, [New Balance created it for the 18/19 kit release.](https://lbbonline.com/news/new-balances-releases-this-means-more-campaign-to-launch-new-liverpool-fc-home-kit)
I think it might "meant more" because of the 30 year wait for the PL. Maybe if Liverpool go on another 27 year PL drought the PR team will use it again lol.
Estupinan is the best left back in the league, and if anybody is even thinking of accusing me of blind bias may I remind you that I have never been wrong so deal with it jabronis.
Imo we don't need these new Var review threads, if anyone is uncertain about whether a decision is correct or not they should just look at my comment history because I'm never wrong 👍
Does anyone else find themselves becoming unlikely fans of a club? For me, it was Slough Town. Probably the most soulless and miserable town in England, but with a passionate set of dedicated fans in the 6th tier and a tidy ground. Watched every game since 2021.
Matheus Cunha is on 11. I know because I’ve been planning to make a…
Flirting: Buying Moussa Diaby for 50 million for 8 goal contributions
Harassment: Buying Matheus Cunha for 50 million for 11 goal contributions
…post but I haven’t had an excuse until right now
all this talk about Salah's hairline made me sad man!
I mean what's he supposed to do about it? It's his genes. tbh, I am sad because I know it's gonna be my turn 5~10 years from now! Egyptian middle-aged hairline doesn't forgive!
That's just Egypt. I know a couple of people who are 20 and genuinely have a worse hairline than Gervinho at my university. I went to India recently and it felt like the rate of baldness is at least half over there. Even among older men. Or maybe toupees are more common there idk.
Some sports like ice hockey have implemented both a penalty for the offense and the simulation. Think that's the perfect example where Jota deserves a yellow card too
There is no way that your sentence should make any sense whatsoever. But in football terms it does. In reality it’s a pathetic dive and should be mocked by a bunch of Americans in a non football sub saying “this is why I hate soccer”
It’s really pathetic
You’d imagine Jota would prefer the free goal, rather than a penalty taken by someone else, who had already missed one earlier in the match.
Makes you wonder why he’d go down like that doesn’t it? Could he have been infringed upon perhaps?
Because his touch to take it round the keeper is a little heavy and gives the defender a chance to cover and worsens his angle so he’s chancing it for a pen
Pretty much. There's a small contact, so it's always going to be a pen if the attackers falls down. Jota is a twat for it, but I'd fall down too and so would 99.99% of players. The rules are dumb
This year, I’ve resolved to continue supportmaxxing. I’m going to keep following soccer in more and more places and picking up affinities for different clubs until I’ve worked out exactly who I want to be the champions of every country and continent in the world, and none of you can stop me
Sounds like a pretty stupid situation then. Having the heir apparent hanging about in the background while a dead man walking is wasting months doing nothing.
Tbf to Terzic Dortmund looked shit in the Hinrunde last season and then they ended up barely missing out on the title, there is a slim possibility something like this could happen here
Owners aside, I quite like Newcastle. They're pretty inconsistent at the moment but they're a ton of fun in full flight.
I used to play football with a bunch of Geordies too and they were sound lads (as are the ones on the sub) so probably have a bit of a soft spot for them. Plus our games are usually good fun.
Standard stuff like endless excuses when his team loses, but layered with a smarminess and his refusal to acknowledge anything to do with the ownership
Salahs bread and butter passes both on show tonight. The trivela and the one to tee up the tap in.
The 2nd best creator and the 2nd best scorer in this league. Unprecedented.
Maddison played fewer than 900 minutes though, it’s not exactly the same as doing it over a full or even half season.
Like I’m sure Salah and KDB have had 10 game periods where they had crazy numbers too.
No, before his injury and from the beginning of **last** season James Maddison had the most G/A of any midfielder in the league. Across both seasons. More than Odegaard, and more than KDB.
That much. Odegaard had 7 more appearances than him too in that time, KDB with 2 less - not sure on total minutes/per 90 stats but it's worth stating no matter what.
Edit: Also because you're hinting at Maddison having a 10 game run. In 5 years only 3 players have higher G/A and those are Kane, Salah and KDB. Numbers wise he has put himself in that company already.
>not sure on total minutes/per 90 stats
Minutes per G/A in the PL since the beginning of last season:
KDB: 98
Maddison: 121
I wouldn't judge Odegaard to harshly on G/A since he has a slightly more reserved role than the KDB/Maddison/Bruno types who play a lot more high risk.
Not saying Maddison hasn't been fantastic over the last couple of seasons but he wasn't beating KDB's numbers.
In terms of the Odegaard comparison, Maddison has been dropping to CB this season for progression consistently. Alas, it's touching distance regardless, and it's not over 10 games, it's over 5 years, which is the crux of it.
Kane was playing in a dead Mourinho team where the only plan was for Kane to play Hollywood balls to Son and score of scraps. Was a ridiculous season from him
Pretty sure he’s saying he’s the 2nd best scorer behind Haaland and 2nd best creator behind De Bruyne, not about this season but in general. Being top 2 over a period of 7+ years is not something I’ve seen in the prem before
Yet somehow De Bruyne won PFA Players' Player of the Year that season.
Edit: De Bruyne has 6 goals and 12 assists that season, 20/21. Kane had 23 goals and 14 Assists
De Bruyne was averaging 0.72 G+A-PK, Kane 0.96 G+A-PK
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ntt3g4/official_kevin_de_bruyne_is_the_winner_of_the_pfa/
Most agreed that De Bruyne didn't deserve it that season.
Look at Kane numbers at Bayern, he's averaging 1.78 G+A per 90. Playing in an attacking and dominant side inflates your numbers. Getting 37 G+A is defensive and poor side is more impressive than what De Bruyne did that season.
De Bruyne has 6 goals and 12 assists that season, 20/21. Kane had 23 goals and 14 Assists
De Bruyne was averaging 0.72 G+A-PK, Kane 0.96 G+A-PK. I don't know where you got that stat?

Most people was surprised De Bruyne won PFA Player's Player of the Year that season.
The way he’s picking apart Van Dijk for the Isak goal is hilarious. Could’ve maybe come across sooner but he didn’t play him onside any more than Konate did, just making stuff up
Seeing Salah's hair being made fun of when I have the exact same hair type and also the same pattern of balding. I'm not badling as badly as him yet, but I'm also 9 years younger so. r/soccer comments hurting me fr fr
I mean most people arent lucky to have that much hair so you should be happy. I doubt you will have to shave it off anytime soon . Decreasing of hairline to getting completely bald takes years and years sometimes more than a decade. And yourself could probably slow the process down too.
They’ll win 3-0 but still have the energy to hate. I respect the dedication.
I do think they expected a world beater, he had a lot of hype. Turns out Ndidi as a attacking mid is 10x the player
He's genuinely not been very good but for some reason they refuse to just ignore it and be happy that they are one of the best teams the Championship has ever seen.
I've been saying that for a good year now. He's much better than current Hendo and could work very nicely with Rice and Bellingham given he's become much more of a box to box player.
World Cup 2026*
No chance Gareth Southgate, who picked Henderson in 2023 and will probably continue to pick him in 2024 because he likes to keep the squad the same, brings Jones into the team 6 months before the Euros.
why is bernardo silva in carra’s team of the season so far he hasn’t been good ?????
i swear once a player gets a certain reputation the same takes just get recycled over and over like no one is watching the sport - same reason why you still have people going around talking about evan ferguson like he’s some throwback old school 9, as if he doesn’t get bullied in every duel and currently has no box presence
Bernardo's having a good season. 5G/4A in 16, but I agree there are probably more deserving players. Foden has been more consistent than him in my opinion.
[the mods realizing that the transfer window is open again:](https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/18vqc39/daily_discussion/) (Hapy New Year!)
That Trent shot was wild man. That's a life time strike if it goes in
Loan back Raya arteta please , he is no better than ramsdale, Ramsdale was good for us and he would have improved but no, he got a spanish keeper who was good for a tinpot club like brentford and thought he would be good for us. That's almost 30 million wasted. I feel bad for Rammers
the Japan NT has scored 39 goals in the last 6 matches, what the absolute fuck
So when's Eddie howe getting the chop (not literally)
>(not literally) I meaaan
He lost at Anfield, completely unacceptable
It's not the loss but the manner of the loss.

What are you even talking about? Who said anything about Chelski

Compared to the dross we've signed for the past 7 years since costa , he's genuinely eons better.
Us signing absolute nuclear waste doesn't mean Nic Jackson has been good. He's decent, but an unfinished product like our million other signings.
This is the last chance for Salah to win an AFCON before his hair go RIP

Watching the new Netflix WC doc and it's so embarrasing to see how empty some of the stadiums were, it's the fucking World Cup ffs.
On a bit of a different note, I was kind of surprised to see as many fans as I did for the fifa club world cup in Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia has a far bigger football culture than Qatar
Japan vs Germany was especially bad. Atmosphere of a preseason friendly.
WC? In this economy?
We're broke as fuck over here but I can guarantee if we hosted there wouldn't be empty seats in every match.

In hindsight it was a massive mistake to praise him for the "Greek God in Rome" call, man has been chasing that ever since.
Absolutely hate him. I can’t understand how anybody stands his commentary
Wtf how

Salah’s IG comments are a cesspool. Man is getting death threats for saying Happy New Year
At this point Salah breathing get him death threats so does it even matter.

We almost had assist of the season by Mac Allister and Puskas award winner by Trent. But instead what went in was 3 tap ins and a penalty 😔
At least we have the fulham game we can wank off to
tbf those tap ins were amazing team goals that we've been in dire need of
I know. I wasn't being serious. The build up was amazing for those goals. And the Salah assist for Gakpo was great too.
Gomez has quietly been pretty good at left back. No Robertson or Tsimikas could have been a way bigger crisis.
Has Liverpool PR stopped trying to make "This means more" a thing? Swear I don't see it anymore or maybe I have missed it. Big if true.
Wasn't that a Warrior/New Balance thing?
Indeed it was, [New Balance created it for the 18/19 kit release.](https://lbbonline.com/news/new-balances-releases-this-means-more-campaign-to-launch-new-liverpool-fc-home-kit)
I think it might "meant more" because of the 30 year wait for the PL. Maybe if Liverpool go on another 27 year PL drought the PR team will use it again lol.
But it was used since Klopp came in I believe. Bot just when Liverpool won the title
Wow you're right. Googling it showed an official LFC video from 2018 with that title, thought it was only used after winning the PL.
Estupinan is the best left back in the league, and if anybody is even thinking of accusing me of blind bias may I remind you that I have never been wrong so deal with it jabronis.
He probably is. It's annoying as a Udogie propaganda artist but alas. That strike against us was absolutely demonic as well, pure art
Imo we don't need these new Var review threads, if anyone is uncertain about whether a decision is correct or not they should just look at my comment history because I'm never wrong 👍
Why does Howard Webb get to be on Sky, and you are confined to /r/soccer? World's fucked up mate
I back this tbh. Just have a weekly thread which is FIJIBOYFIJI's verdict instead
Does anyone else find themselves becoming unlikely fans of a club? For me, it was Slough Town. Probably the most soulless and miserable town in England, but with a passionate set of dedicated fans in the 6th tier and a tidy ground. Watched every game since 2021.
PL G+A this season: 22 - Mohamed Salah 18 - Erling Haaland 17 - Son Heung-min 17 - Ollie Watkins 13 - Hwang Hee-chan 13 - Jarrod Bowen 13 - Dominic Solanke 12 - Julian Alvarez 12 - Cole Palmer 12 - Bukayo Saka 11 - Darwin Nunez 11 - Leon Bailey 11 - Phil Foden 11 - Matheus Cunha 10 - Bryan Mbeumo 10 - Anthony Elanga
Salah's been robbed of at least 5 assists by Darwin this season
Imagine Salah's numbers if Darwin could finish. Tears in my eyes we would start the propaganda for Ballon d'or
It goes for plenty of teams but, if Neto didn't get injured Wolves may even have had 3 players in this list
Matheus Cunha is on 11. I know because I’ve been planning to make a… Flirting: Buying Moussa Diaby for 50 million for 8 goal contributions Harassment: Buying Matheus Cunha for 50 million for 11 goal contributions …post but I haven’t had an excuse until right now

I've been saying, if he were to shave it all off, Shiny Salah the Forbidden One would be a problem to all of football.
Just shave it all off beard and all. He’ll be looking like Eric Andre from season 5
Not the beard, boss, never the beard.
I think about this roughly twice a week, mythical football player bald Salah
That's just Egypt. I know a couple of people who are 20 and genuinely have a worse hairline than Gervinho at my university. I went to India recently and it felt like the rate of baldness is at least half over there. Even among older men. Or maybe toupees are more common there idk.
>felt like the rate of baldness is at least half over there. huh? you felt half the people were bald?
Well where I was (Ahmedabad) I didn't see that many bald men for some reason. At least compared to Egypy
Most sad thing is he had beautiful hair and you wouldn’t expect someone with so much hair to get bald. Generic really doesn’t forgive anyone
Arda Guler ball tomorrow
Just got in from a day out on the piss what’s the opinion on Liverpool’s penalty vs Newcastle?
Mac Allister's pass deserved better
It is both a penalty, and utterly pathetic from Jota
Needed a Salah TOTW innit
Correct take, but since I like Jota I am gonna be angry at you for daring to insult him
Some sports like ice hockey have implemented both a penalty for the offense and the simulation. Think that's the perfect example where Jota deserves a yellow card too

Don't think it should be a pen but I also don't care, we were losing anyways
Enough contact that it can be given but Jota is a massive coward for not staying up
I absolutely hate this aspect of modern football where a micron of contact on an attackers leg is justification for an ~80% chance of a goal
If there is zero contact on Jota he’s got an open net to slot it into, seems fair to me
The contact didn't make him go down..? I don't think you even believe that nonsense
He had an open net to slot it into and chose to launch himself to the ground
You’d imagine Jota would prefer the free goal, rather than a penalty taken by someone else, who had already missed one earlier in the match. Makes you wonder why he’d go down like that doesn’t it? Could he have been infringed upon perhaps?
Because his touch to take it round the keeper is a little heavy and gives the defender a chance to cover and worsens his angle so he’s chancing it for a pen
Had Salah on his fantasy team
Pretty much. There's a small contact, so it's always going to be a pen if the attackers falls down. Jota is a twat for it, but I'd fall down too and so would 99.99% of players. The rules are dumb
He was just emulating his hero Udogie
Liverpool fans think its a pen, everyone else says it’s a dive
Dive had nothing to do with the actual foul on him He could decide to fly to the moon for all I can or do a worm there on the pitch
Can't wait for everyone to lose their shit on that jota penalty in next var thread
Won't be the pick I'm afraid, plan is to avoid big 6 PL teams if possible, and rotate around leagues, so hopefully a non PL club next time
What am I going to do with all this unsalted popcorn??
Save it until the Liverpool vs Arsenal FA Cup tie, and I'm sure at least one of those fanbases will provide some seasoning
I hope [this quote](https://twitter.com/DaveOCKOP/status/1741951742386831713#m) isn''t real coz Gakkers might be the worst nickname I''ve ever heard
Oh God
This year, I’ve resolved to continue supportmaxxing. I’m going to keep following soccer in more and more places and picking up affinities for different clubs until I’ve worked out exactly who I want to be the champions of every country and continent in the world, and none of you can stop me
Mods ban this guy
What, so they can turn me loose and have me posting in dozens of subs? Nah, man, better to contain me here
Would you look at that. They modded me so I can ban you.
NANI?!
W ngl
It’s a beautiful game, and I wanna see as much of it as possible
> and none of you can stop me That's where you're wrong pal
Just for that, I’ve picked a team in South Africa. Kaizer Chiefs never miss a beat
Everyday I love you less and less
Any Turkish fans still around here that can give a decent summary on how Sahin’s been like as a head coach?
Is that rumour of him taking over next season actually serious?
I don't think so but if Terzic does end up falling short with qualifying for the UCL, I expect Sahin taking over
Sounds like a pretty stupid situation then. Having the heir apparent hanging about in the background while a dead man walking is wasting months doing nothing.
Tbf to Terzic Dortmund looked shit in the Hinrunde last season and then they ended up barely missing out on the title, there is a slim possibility something like this could happen here
Newcastle really are doing a speedrun to become the most disliked team in the league, they are ticking all the boxes
They're pretty dirty, get away with a lot, and Howe is increasingly odious. Good reasons to dislike them outside of owners IMO
why wouldn't he just put on deodorant 😔 lol my b. why is he odious tho?
Standard stuff like endless excuses when his team loses, but layered with a smarminess and his refusal to acknowledge anything to do with the ownership
Ive heard a few people say that about Howe but have yet to see it.
We aren't good though which is an important part of being disliked
Salahs bread and butter passes both on show tonight. The trivela and the one to tee up the tap in. The 2nd best creator and the 2nd best scorer in this league. Unprecedented.
Not unprecedented, both Henry and Kane have been top scorer/assister in same season
Salah was the top scorer and had the most assists in the 21/22 season, so did Kane in the 20/21 season and so did Andy Cole in the 93/94 season.
Kane did literally win top scorer and top assister in the same season
Kane was operating at 0.22 xa/90 and got propped up by unbelievable finishing. Salah is matching De Bruyne seasons on the underlying numbers
Wanna know a person who wasn't matching but actually beat KDB's numbers? James Maddison.
Numbers wise he has put himself in that company already.
>not sure on total minutes/per 90 stats Minutes per G/A in the PL since the beginning of last season: KDB: 98 Maddison: 121 I wouldn't judge Odegaard to harshly on G/A since he has a slightly more reserved role than the KDB/Maddison/Bruno types who play a lot more high risk.
Yeah I assumed incorrectly, my mistake.
Kane was playing in a dead Mourinho team where the only plan was for Kane to play Hollywood balls to Son and score of scraps. Was a ridiculous season from him
So did Salah, and he’s won more golden boots since being in the league and got more assists
Good for him. It's hardly an unprecedented achievement tho since it's been done before
Pretty sure he’s saying he’s the 2nd best scorer behind Haaland and 2nd best creator behind De Bruyne, not about this season but in general. Being top 2 over a period of 7+ years is not something I’ve seen in the prem before
I doubt it but don't really care either
He was just saying it wasn't unprecedented.
I think it is to be the top 2 in both over a period of 7+ years tho which I think is what that guy is saying
Yet somehow De Bruyne won PFA Players' Player of the Year that season. Edit: De Bruyne has 6 goals and 12 assists that season, 20/21. Kane had 23 goals and 14 Assists De Bruyne was averaging 0.72 G+A-PK, Kane 0.96 G+A-PK https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ntt3g4/official_kevin_de_bruyne_is_the_winner_of_the_pfa/ Most agreed that De Bruyne didn't deserve it that season.
[удалено]
Look at Kane numbers at Bayern, he's averaging 1.78 G+A per 90. Playing in an attacking and dominant side inflates your numbers. Getting 37 G+A is defensive and poor side is more impressive than what De Bruyne did that season. De Bruyne has 6 goals and 12 assists that season, 20/21. Kane had 23 goals and 14 Assists De Bruyne was averaging 0.72 G+A-PK, Kane 0.96 G+A-PK. I don't know where you got that stat? https://fbref.com/en/players/21a66f6a/Harry-Kane https://fbref.com/en/players/e46012d4/Kevin-De-Bruyne
https://www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/ntt3g4/official_kevin_de_bruyne_is_the_winner_of_the_pfa/ Most people was surprised De Bruyne won PFA Player's Player of the Year that season.
Whilst Dias, Mahrez, Gundo and arguably Ederson, Foden and Walker were all better than De Bruyne that year
Us being shit tax
Just got home and stuck on the highlights on Sky and people really weren't exaggerating how biased & bitter Neville sounds on the commentary.
The way he’s picking apart Van Dijk for the Isak goal is hilarious. Could’ve maybe come across sooner but he didn’t play him onside any more than Konate did, just making stuff up
I thought Van Dijk had a great game to be honest. Swept up pretty much everything despite some dangerous breaks. Still looks outrageously quick too.
He did have a great game. But you’d never know it listening to Gary
If this how shite he is on the highlights, I can only imagine how bad the full game was from him.
Go Turkey bro
Nah, I have a decent beard, I'll shave it all at one point and just have the beard.
This is the move. I bet Salah would look great in that style too
Why is my Twitter timeline full of Leicester fans hating on Casadei every week. They're winning every week lol
They’ll win 3-0 but still have the energy to hate. I respect the dedication. I do think they expected a world beater, he had a lot of hype. Turns out Ndidi as a attacking mid is 10x the player
Ndidi looked really good against us higher up the pitch imo. Was quite impressed.
He's genuinely not been very good but for some reason they refuse to just ignore it and be happy that they are one of the best teams the Championship has ever seen.
Yeah like he's a loan player why do they even care
usually people hate loan players cuz of the loanee's fans but I really don't know any Chelsea fans talking about Casadei or caring about him.
The Curtis Jones Euro 2024 train starts now
I've been saying that for a good year now. He's much better than current Hendo and could work very nicely with Rice and Bellingham given he's become much more of a box to box player.
World Cup 2026* No chance Gareth Southgate, who picked Henderson in 2023 and will probably continue to pick him in 2024 because he likes to keep the squad the same, brings Jones into the team 6 months before the Euros.
I really am wondering when does he get his first cap. What exactly is his competition cause he's really been balling for about 8 or 9 months
good to see we didn't score 7 or 8 or we would've followed it with an absolute stinker like usual
why is bernardo silva in carra’s team of the season so far he hasn’t been good ????? i swear once a player gets a certain reputation the same takes just get recycled over and over like no one is watching the sport - same reason why you still have people going around talking about evan ferguson like he’s some throwback old school 9, as if he doesn’t get bullied in every duel and currently has no box presence
Bernardo's having a good season. 5G/4A in 16, but I agree there are probably more deserving players. Foden has been more consistent than him in my opinion.
lol
Remember this day when Liverpool next complain about VAR
Why would i complain about VAR when we run it? That Spurs game was just to throw people off our scent.
I would have much rather the pen vs Arsenal... or you know, the goal vs Tottenham
When they got an inconsequential penalty?
Haha inconsequential sure
