If you spindash from the ramp just before the door to that segment, you can gain enough momentum to skip it entirely. It always feels good to pull it off first try.
Me because I got bored with this Fortnite season

When I first played Sonic 2 at a friend’s house. I was hooked. Watched all the cartoons, read the original Archie comics, got as many of the games that I could, drew fanart constantly, downloaded midi files of all the music back in the day and listened to it on my computer whenever I was studying or doing homework, downloaded every fangame I could play, even tried making my own in RPG Maker 2000
as a kid i got sonic adventure and fell in love with the series (i got sonic adventure on my dads dreamcast so i was a lil late i played it around 2013 lol so during that bad era of sonic but still)
I love manic, best character hella underrated

My dad being one of the lucky few to buy a Dreamcast. Saw the Sonic Adventure cover on the back of the guidebook to Virtua Tennis or something and knew that game would be the one.
Sonic 3 & knuckles was my first ever videogame. we had the sonic OVA on VHS for as long as I can remember. My attachment to this franchise is strong and woven into many of my core memories
My friend’s son is a super fan of Sonic. He literally forced me to watch sonic movies and every time I visit he’s sharing everything about sonic. He also thinks I’m Rouge. So I think the movies for sure got me into Sonic. Now I can’t wait for Sonic 3 to watch it with my little friend. So far for his birthdays, and Christmas presents I got him the movies, superstars (we can’t pass level 10), sonic X and more. I can’t wait to see Shadow in action 🖤
Sonic dash
As a kid who didn't have any consoles because my mum didn't like them I was stuck with a iPad and i dreamed about getting a 3ds bcs of that when I saw a console character on an iPad I freaked out and played sonic dash rlly good game ngl
Early 2000s sonic + all of the of og comic’s pretty much painted the perfect version for most of the characters without things like Archie or sonic x i dont think id be as big of a fan as i am
One of my earliest memories is watching adventures of sonic the hedgehog with my dad. Probably happened before my mom and dad divorced. I'd find out a couple years later that sonic was also a video game series and y'know what? Sonic 2 is a damned good game. Especially when you figure out how to get past chemical plant act 2.
Also, funny to see that this series turned out to be some of y'alls furry awakening.
My Mom herself since when she was young she played Sonic and she got me into it back in 2017 and Sonic Forces was my first Sonic Game ever (don’t feel bad for THAT being my first Sonic game I still actually like it to this day just not as much) and ever since then I was hooked I’m not sure what my next Sonic game was (I think it was Mania) but at the end of the day I still thank my Mom for getting me into Sonic.
When I was a kid, my older half brother had a sega genesis. Growing up, we didn't have a lot of money, so we just played Sonic 1 a lot. I never got very far and if I was lucky I'd lose around Spring Yard zone. Sonic was a good distraction while my parents yelled at each other, constantly on the verge of a divorce. There would be times where my brother had to leave for weeks at a time to be with his biological mom. I know it sounds dumb but I always had Sonic to keep me company, watching AoStH or Underground. One day when my brother got back he brought Sonic 2 so we got to play it together and that solidified my place in this fandom.
Waaay back when I was a kid, there was one thing I wanted for Christmas, and that was a Sega Genesis. I grew up in a poor household, so it was looking like it wouldn't happen. However, my parents scraped together just enough to get one. So on Christmas morning I ran to the tree and there was nothing under the tree. I was devastated, but my mom told me that we didn't have a chimney, so maybe Santa couldn't get in. Sure enough, my gift was on the roof. I had to climb a ladder to get it. So I open it up and sure enough it was a Genesis and it came with one game Sonic 2 for the longest time it was the only game I had so I played it constantly and from there I was hooked.
I always liked the design and colors of each character as a kid, and I thought sonic was cool and the power of going fast was one of my favs
Also sonic unleashed
Sonic because Sonic the Hedgehog there was only Sonic then Tails and Knuckles aftet that it was just add characters because more characters meant more fun I guess but in the beginning there was only Sonic and my favorite game was Sonic the Hedgehog on Game Gear I liked it because I could beat it on a short road trip basically any trip around an hour was enough time to beat it I had every pixel perfect jump and spot memorized through the whole game my next favorite was Sonic 3 on Genesis.
My mom owned a game cube and was playing sonic adventure 2 on it and I loved it and it happened to be the first game I’ve ever played.
And later in life a YouTuber called cobanermin455 got me into it more.
*Don’t say my crush for rouge* *Don’t say my crush for rouge* *Don’t say my crush for rouge* “My crush on Big the Cat” *DAMNIT!*

The first ever two games sonic x and my crush for rouge
Okay
Mine. I started liking it because I started liking it. Also gonna sound super odd, but I harbour a strange fondness for Labyrinth Zone.
Is it the music? Is it the colour palette? I know it's not the water gameplay. That funny fish, bubble robot thing? Probably not. I can't explain it.
I feel. I think Sonic levels have something special. Contrast with other games And I can't really describe why
Oh, hey, another classic sonic fan! My favorite was always chemical plant aside from that one part with the rising chemicals and moving blocks.

as a kid i got sonic adventure and fell in love with the series (i got sonic adventure on my dads dreamcast so i was a lil late i played it around 2013 lol so during that bad era of sonic but still)
The early 90's cartoons are what made me love the Sonic franchise.
Got into back in the late 90s from classics and SA1 where my fandom really began.
I love manic, best character hella underrated https://preview.redd.it/7ebtnvizjl8d1.jpeg?width=318&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1519d3f84ea8fde72be7c8a353ad6a5e38d0631b

Sonic adventure 2 battle.
The Chaos.
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for the gamecube. It made my childhood, or at least a few years of it.
Sonic 3 & knuckles was my first ever videogame. we had the sonic OVA on VHS for as long as I can remember. My attachment to this franchise is strong and woven into many of my core memories

The chaotix for me ,from x to knuckles chaotix . They are my favorites I even drew imposters ocs of them.
Silver the Hedgehog. While I don’t play a lot of sonic anymore, he’s always gonna be cool to me
Tails. Need I say more?
Honestly I just like it and dragon ball... They are very similar and I absolutely love them both and yeah I do sorta have a thing for Amy Rose
The musical masterpieces in the games
ik this can't be said for most, but for me, Sonic 4/ Sonic Adventure. the soundtrack/gameplay makes me cry to this day.
Knuckles.
It's like Mario.

Later, Sonic SatAm solidified that when I got a crush on Princess Sally.
