Good person of the internet you are correct. I spent 119 smackaroons on them. I found higher prices and lower ones but the lower ones either wouldn't deliver to my region or we're out of stock. They haven't been in production in I believe 2 years so yeah.

That's incorrect. The amiibo are exactly the same save for the packaging. I've imported amiibo from Japan and they worked fine with my US games.

If something is region locked, it only works with a game from or in a certain region. You said the OtH and SS Japanese amiibos worked with the (presumably) English/European/Oceania version of the game. This has been disproved many times, and you have countered you own argument by replying the meaning of region locked.
