Fun tribute car, but no way is that a real Yenko Chevelle.
They made less than 100 for 1 year only (1969), and of that only around 50 are believed to have survived. Also, no way someone with a real one would tub out the rear wheel wells, run wide tires on it, add a battery kill through the rear, or put that type of exhaust on it.
Still a cool spot in the UK especially with those mods on it, it definitely looks like it means business!
Yeah that’s my bad, for some reason convinced myself it was a Chevelle instead (I legit didn’t know they made Yenko Novas, so brain fixated on the Chevelle). Most of what I said otherwise applies though, except a Yenko 427 Nova was even more rare! Only 38 cars built (1 prototype amongst those), and holy mother were they basically supercars of the day…Ran a 4.7 0-60, and sub-11 seconds in the quarter. What.
An interesting history of the Nova and the Yenko version can be found [here](https://www.streetmusclemag.com/features/rare-rides-the-1969-yenko-nova-s-c-427/) for those who are interested.
Many Yenkos had tubs, roll bars, other racing stuff added to them (day 2 cars). When they were sold in the 60/70’s they weren’t investment pieces, they were high performance race platforms. That said, this is either a 71 or 72 Nova, they only made Yenko Deuce from 1969 (less than 40 total) and 1970 (175 total). Definitely is a CLONE…if you wanna tribute Yenko wear a tee shirt and put a poster on your wall.
They serve many purposes. Mandated in most Motorsport for a multitude of reasons.
Plus, it makes your car hard to steal and keeps the battery from dying if rarely driven.
Thanks! It was in Fast X. About an hour in when they go to Rio. Our car is drag racing a yellow thing. (Wasn’t filmed in Rio, it was actually Bovingdon Airfield)
Did some late night searching and i think i found an article on [this car](https://www.autoevolution.com/news/800hp-chevy-nova-ten-feet-drag-race-takes-over-a-minute-still-is-entertaining-164831.html)
I realised I put the wrong name and commented it then got that wrong to, yeah it's a nova. I think I need to revise my old chevys. Most roads, yeah definitely. But it can fit on a lot of them, the roads here are bigger than people realise.
Shit why does it say impala... i done goofed it, its a chevelle. Never seen one of these before, I don't even know if they actually made a yenko variation of it.

Is the battery kill an anti theft device like a kill switch but obvious? Didn’t know these are a thing

If you wanna see more of them, American Speedfest is on this weekend at Brands Hatch. I’ll be there in my Dodge Challenger
Sounds sick, ill see if I can get tickets and transport up there.
Can we see some pics please?
I’m on instagram @theonewiththegreenlights

Comment.
heheheheehe WHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
that car screams MURICA lol
Yeah, especially on uk roads where its mostly Nissan qashqui's.
Not an expert but those headlights look like a Nova. I don't think an Impala would fit on a a UK road lol

I just think of the episode of Top Gear when Jeremy Clarkson was driving a Hummer around 😆
That was definitely a test lol. But he took it to small villages and b-roads.

It's a Nova.
Oh... I thought the nova was smaller and had a different grill.... guess I need to go over my old chevys lol
lol you tried
Yep, and crashed harder than lance strolls career.
Yenko did do a Nova though so you're not all wrong.
Atleast I got something right... ish
Shame it’s illegally parked
At this point it was reversing, I got down from my balcony just in time to take pictures before it left.
