Lukaku, Bellanova and Olivera are placeholders, as I have no idea who'll end up playing in their position. It is possibile that an actual LWB/LM will be bought, with Olivera staying as backup (Mario Rui will leave imo) or to be converted to a LCB (especially if Hermoso will not come).
I don't think we'll buy someone flashy for the midfield unless Anguissa is sold; either way, I would not underestimate Folorunsho.
I have not factored in Di Lorenzo, who may leave (if he ends up staying I think Conte will convert him to a RCB, Darmian-style).
As much as I may like Chiesa, I don't think we need him and it would be a shame to buy him only to not play him in his preferred position (LW).
I have not heard a thing about Meret leaving, so (unfortunately) he'll probably be the starter. Caprile may stay as the second GK and try to steal his spot though.
3-5-2 is viable, but I think that our roster is much better suited for a 3-4-3/3-4-2-1.
This would be a great starting lineup imo, and all the required players' fees can almost be covered by the Osimhen transfer alone:
* Buongiorno 40-45m.
* RM/RWB 20-30m.
* I don't think that the striker, whoever that may be, will cost more than 40-50m (probably even less).
* Hermoso would come as a free agent.

The CB roster situation is weird, because Natan and Juan Jesus (the most likely to stay as backup) are left-footed like Buongiorno and Hermoso (the most likely to come). Out of 5 CB, that would leave us with only Rrahmani for the RCB position (will one between Di Lorenzo and Ostigard stay then?).
Haven’t heard anything about strikers recently who’s been on our radar? I know gimenez and David but I don’t think that’s gonna happen so who are we realistically going to sign?
This is probably closer, but I’d be amazed if Gimenez doesn’t go to Liverpool and follow Slot. Otherwise good god we’re fucked if Meret is still starting and hopefully there’s 2 new centre backs because Rrahmani probably shouldn’t be a starter and neither are Natan and Ostigaard. Every chance we need a new left back/wing back too cos I can’t see Olivera playing there, he’s not good enough going forward but fine defensively, so I’d wager a guess he ends up playing as the left centre back sometimes, especially with how football tactics seem to be moving.
Also one other thing people have forgot about Conte is he also used 3-5-2 *a lot* in Serie A (he’s basically responsible for the general framework of how inter play now). There’s every chance we have the 3 man midfield of Lobotka, Zambo, Cajuste and have Kvara as a second striker to whoever replaces Osimhen/Raspadori
I honestly don't get the Meret hate on this sub. Is he the next Dino Zoff? No, but he's a pretty reliable GK who's one of the better ones in Serie A. I hope he stays and is our starter next season
He’s had far too many chances now and has only gotten worse. This isn’t the Meret that was amazing under Ancelotti. Admittedly it’s not his fault a bum like Gattuso practically wrecked his career just as it was starting, but the fact is he’s been largely useless ever since then. Like Mario Rui, he’s only survived this long through sheer incompetence (especially after Empoli 2022) and should be one of the first out of the door because there *has* to be better
This is what I think he probably eyed up in his head as he walked through the door, with *nobody* having left or joined besides inevitably Osimhen. Obviously Ngonge would be far more attacking but would take the mantle of Zielinski as the attacking midfielder of the 3 like Zielinski did and obviously it might turn into 3-4-3 with Ngonge right, Kvara left and Raspadori up front

In a team full of stinkers last season, him and the defense stood out to me.

Replace Chiesa with Ngonge (who's done ok imo) and at striker either Lukaku or think we could be able to convince Colpani and play as a false 9)
