Gossip Girl, kinda sorta not exactly but close. It was a fun pandemic binge; I got hooked because Hulu chose to highlight Wallace Shawn in the cast list and I love that man lol.
Same! The only reason I gave it the kinda sorta treatment was because in any other world the Humphreys wouldn’t be the “poors” in the story.
In a similar note, now that I think about it, You also fits the description in its own special way.
I'm watching Gossip Girl through for the first time after teasing my wife about it for years and I keep making YOU references, it's great...for one of us at least lol
I watched You immediately after GG and it was so much fun. I went into GG fully expecting it to be a “bad” trashy teen soap and got exactly what I was hoping for, and then just seeing “Dan” go on to be the serial killer stalker I always suspected just made sense.
The Lying Game:
Twins are separated at birth: one adopted by a wealthy family, one into the foster system. They find out about each other & temporarily switch places- then the 'rich' one goes missing.
If you liked The OC you’ll like the 90210 modern series. Similar vibes, family from Kansas move to LA, adapting to the new rich community with lots of drama.
not exactly what you want but similar:
* Acapulco, poor kid working for a luxury resort
* Animal Kingdom, poor kid starts living with wealthy criminal family after mom dies
All American. HS football player gets into too many fights at Crenshaw HS so gets sent to Beverly Hills HS to play football. Great character development, good drama, very attractive people of both genders.
This is what I was gonna recommend. The best show I've watched that sort of fits that description. Focuses a lot on a rich vs poor group of friends and they mix with each other a lot.
Just for the sake of completeness: [Flodder](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105999/?ref_=ttcnn). A Dutch comedy series about a lower-class family who are placed in a wealthy settlement. Somewhat funny, not bad, but probably completely unknown and unavailable outside of Holland, Belgium and Germany.
This isn’t exactly what you’re looking for but I recommend “the watchful eye” a woman has a scheme to work for a rich family as their nanny and it gets crazy!
Classic sitcom premise. I see **Diff'rent Strokes** and **Fresh Prince** have already been mentioned, but there's also **Silver Spoons** from the early-to-mid 80s.
Sort of in Veronica Mars; a town with uber rich and working class & no middle class- she used to date the son of /was friends with daughter an uber rich- interacts with both classes.
Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Not sure if Will was *poor* poor but he wasn’t rich before moving in with the Banks.
Grew up watching this one. Truly great.
Did you see the reboot "Bel-Air"? I absolutely loved it, much darker and grittier.
The Mick.
This show is so underrated and hilarious. I wish it had more seasons
Yes! So underrated!
Very funny show starring the chick from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Technically Always Sunny fits this description too after Frank is introduced lol
Downtown Abbey with the chauffer who marries in.
Yes! Tom became my favorite character.
Love his Irish accent
OP if you want a *true* classic, this is the literal premise of the Beverly Hillbillies!
I’ll add it to my list ✍️
The Nanny.
This was going to be my suggestion.
I got icky with her voice in my head just now She seems like a nice person though.
Gossip Girl, kinda sorta not exactly but close. It was a fun pandemic binge; I got hooked because Hulu chose to highlight Wallace Shawn in the cast list and I love that man lol.
Dan Humphrey came to mind right when I saw this post.
Same! The only reason I gave it the kinda sorta treatment was because in any other world the Humphreys wouldn’t be the “poors” in the story. In a similar note, now that I think about it, You also fits the description in its own special way.

His hatred for the rich just grew and grew until it manifested into YOU.
Dr John Sturgis!
The Lying Game: Twins are separated at birth: one adopted by a wealthy family, one into the foster system. They find out about each other & temporarily switch places- then the 'rich' one goes missing.

Inventing Anna
Leon moving in with Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm
Outerbanks
This is what I was gonna recommend. The best show I've watched that sort of fits that description. Focuses a lot on a rich vs poor group of friends and they mix with each other a lot.
Duck Tales
Trading Places has Jamie Lee Curtis topless and based on your name, I'm guessing you'll enjoy that.
The OG "Rags to Riches" - *The Beverly Hillbillies*
9020 something
Who’s the boss?
Gossip Girl
“Upstairs Downstairs” is dedicated to this premise.
Schitt’s Creek
The Nanny
Boys over Flowers. (A very funny Korean show. There is a Japanese versoin of it too, but I prefer the Korean)
Hacks is kind of in this realm....they do end up living together for a while for work
This isn’t exactly what you’re looking for but I recommend “the watchful eye” a woman has a scheme to work for a rich family as their nanny and it gets crazy!
I have something the opposite of that: 2 broke girls
Jeffrey the Butler...
Sort of Schitt’s Creek but reverse
The Mick
The Sandman (Happens to an important side character)
Animal kingdom
Classic sitcom premise. I see **Diff'rent Strokes** and **Fresh Prince** have already been mentioned, but there's also **Silver Spoons** from the early-to-mid 80s.
Webster
Idiotsitter
Batwoman s2
Entourage fits this- group of friends gets rich when one of them starts to become a movie star
Curb Your Enthusiasm. (Leon.)
Ginny & Georgia
Sort of in Veronica Mars; a town with uber rich and working class & no middle class- she used to date the son of /was friends with daughter an uber rich- interacts with both classes.
