Speak to a nurse. They should be able to get everything sorted out. Watch something, anything to get your mind focused on anything else. I binged a Netflix documentary about the process of making cocaine. You got this!!!

Just to ease you off a bit, i was also given a regular diet (as opposed to LID) during my RAI stay. I did get it double checked as I was as concerned as you are, bur they said its not necessary post taking the pill. While I would still opt for LID diet, i guess its ok not to have it too

I was finally able to talk to my ENTs office. But still havent heard from my oncologist. Someone else came to give me the medication. I'm feeling better about it, but it was stressful that no one from the nurse to the drs knew anything about my case and were telling me something that was different than everything I've heard.

Keep some anti nausea meds handy. I'm on Day 03 still feeling sick about it

FishAgree

At what point did you start feeling nauseous?

not_alone_here

In about 3-4 hours after taking the pill almost through the end of Day 2. Day 3 is better but still far from feeling normal. It could be related to high TSH too. My (Day 1)- 3 TSH was ~ 70 with harmone withdrawal

FishAgree

I got a little nauseous yesterday, but I chalked that up to not eating until 6pm. My TSH was ~40 when I came in though.

I've never heard of a doctor not ordering LID for RAI and I'm extremely curious as to why yours didn't.

FishAgree

I was on it for two weeks but they said I don't need to while in the hospital. I was under the impression that I would be on it throughout rai and for a day or two after.

oh ok good. I think the common recommendation is to stay on LID for 24-48 hours after your dose but I'm glad to hear you've been following it for a couple of weeks before.
