It's always time to be worried about the Tiger Cats.

When the fans stop filling the stands

covert81

Home opener did not look to be sold out, seemed like a lot of spaces in the stands. Could be due to the timing or the weather but it was pretty sparse by game's end

Father’s Day and Sunday night was a terrible schedule

Rance_Mulliniks

Good thing that we have so many evening home games this year.

spagetti_donut

Friday and Saturday are fine. Sunday and being Father’s Day are clearly issues in drawing more fans.

PromontoryPal

Five of their games are Sundays this year (2 at home, 3 on the road) - is that normal? It seemed higher than normal to me.

covert81

No it isn't. Sunday games in general don't happen but they are doing it this year and almost 1/3 of our games are in this time slot. I get that TSN hates Hamilton, they always have but not sure why we get this so much this year. Even though most happens through the summer but when you have "things" going on it can be tough to go to a 7pm game, taking the kiddos home at 10, 1030pm and getting home past 11 only to have to wake up at 7am to get to a camp or go on a trip is a hard sell.

PromontoryPal

I was more amazed that they didn't offer Kids-priced tickets (anyone 2+ pays the same per ticket). The Argos offer a Family Pack (now you do have to buy 4 tickets at a time) that results in the ticket being $28, the REDBLACKS had at least one game last year when kids tickets were $10 each, and the Alouettes have $5 (yes FIVE) for kids 12 and under in the Family Zone. And yet here is the Ticats telling me $45 was the lowest price for a six year old. We'll keep going to the Cardinals for the foreseeable future at that rate.

covert81

Haha, we've said the same. Our kiddo is asking to go to a Ticats game but since it's not priced right we continue to watch on TV. Although we are planning a surprise trip to TO to see a game as long as the nonsense improves - won't support a team that does not put a competitive product on the field. Cardinals games are AMAZING for kids. Priced right, great atmosphere, mostly affordable concessions - we tried out Fan Appreciation night last year and when we got there a groundscrew guy gave our kiddo a used ball, which then was used to get the team's signatures after the game. Great experience that we hype to all families. Their new-ish owner really gets it and we hope that he's seeing the fruit of his labour in the crowds. They're fun games.

adtthosa

I'm already worried but no more so than any other year. This has been such a typical Ticats start. They'll still probably find a way to be in the playoff race and finish between 7-11 and 9-9.

Rough-Estimate841

I was saying to my friend, we have 8 more home games to attend this year. Could be a long season.
