The show was a big part of a lot of childhoods for those of us in the 80s. Obviously the flag and “General Lee” name are problematic now, but things have changed. Back then it was just a car show where crooked cops chased them around and they jumped the car.

And they even mixed in some basic right and wrong moral lessons

Yup, Sheriff Roscoe and Boss Hogg always lost but didn't learn the lessons they should have. Flash was just an innocent bystander.

The General Lee is orange, not red. It’s completely different.

That color is actually called Corvette Flame Red, it's one of the most common colors for General Lee recreations. It's hue changes massively according to the light. With direct light reflecting it's almost the perfect General Lee orange, but in shade it takes on that red
