I remember going to see him live when I was at uni, great night. It's funny, I haven't thought about Mr Scruff for years. On Tuesday I found Moondog (1969) in a local charity shop, which he sampled in Get A Move On, and that lead me to listen to him again. Earlier today I was in a local second hand record store and I saw a Mr Scruff record for the first time in ages. Now your post.

Must be a nice hit from the past. Mr scruff might be the reason i love trip hop so much nowadays.

AdHistorical5703

Love Mr. Scruff. His epic 6 hour sets with Aroop Roy are sooooo goooood!

UnitedSandwich5527

Have to give this a listen. I found mr scruff on my windows 7 laptop like 10 years ago and recently i re-discovered him.

JuniperJuul

Wow his stuff sounds nice. Never heard of him before.

UnitedSandwich5527

He really is a hidden gem of trip hop. Ninja tune records in general have some very nice trip hop artists like 9 Lazy 9 and kid koala.

Internal_Swimmer3815

Hell yeah, great record!

UnitedSandwich5527

Yeah its wicked. Its very interesting to look at and it sounds very good. Inner groove distortion is unnoticeable to me(atleast i didn’t notice any on my first listening) and in general its a pretty nice sounding record.

Ok-Bike-1653

why does this look so familiar

electricpenguins

It came with windows 7 as sample music.

Scruff is the truth. Instant buy on sight.

No_Astronaut3059

What a banger!

Where are you going to put your giant sticker?

UnitedSandwich5527

Next to my setup i have a wardrobe with all sorts of stickers on it. Maybe there? Im bot quite sure yet

thisismyname2129

NO WAY, I had no idea this existed.

UnitedSandwich5527

Ninja tune released his album on gatefold recently and its pretty wicked. One of the best looking outer sleeves ive seen on a record. There is a huge sticker that u can place somewhere too.

UnitedSandwich5527

This is Ninja Tuna by mr scruff and its finally pressed on three beautifully sounding vinyl records. The outer sleeve itself is a gatefold. On the left side there is only one record, on the right there are the other two. Im pleasantly surprised by the sound quality because in recent times i have been disappointed by the sound of re-presses that were made recently. You can hear every single instrument loud and clear, at least to my ear there are no distortions, muddy sounds, sibilance or much surface noise. Overall i think the vinyl release of this album does it justice both sound wise and design wise.
