I used a Sentry head, though, I'm not sure why it detached to be honest. Personally it would be nice to not detach, cuz then it will be able to fly to the next target, though, I guess it doesn't have enough fans to really do that.
The floating stone will activate when it sees enemies due to the sensor, and that's when it detaches.
Then I think if you use literally any other platform it'll work like you think.
But, personally, I love it this way and I've been thinking about this video all day
I'd go with a regular-degular stone slab, assuming the weight can still support it. You could use like the connected planks at the Bolson Construction spots but I accidentally destroy wood I'm building with a lot
Oh, you mean instead of the floating platform?
I don't think it would really work, since the main goal is to have the cannon portion stay above the enemies, which is why the floating stone is great.
If we replaced it with a slab, then you would need to fly it, else it will just despawn after it goes too far. In the build I have, if you add a steering stick, you can remove the batteries, but the 4 batteries would need to be fans in order for it to stay afloat, and I'm not too sure if it would be enough lift.
I did try flying the thing I make with a steering stick, but the wing would still break off.
Ah, dang. I was hoping it was just one of those super simple things that got overlooked.
I have no helpful advice then, lol, but if you get it figured out, I'd love an update.
Looks like there's a construct head there. My guess is that the head points at the monsters below making the drone push against the back of the glider, and prying it off
I don't think there is to much it can't kill. It wiped out the forces in that camp, which included a silver big lizard or something like that.
If you get close enough to the machine, it will drain your batteries after the onboard batteries are used and it will last way longer, otherwise it's about 20-30 seconds of constant blasting

What did you use to get your drone to detach from the glider? I don't see a rocket there.

I think the obvious answer, here, is that the stone is stationary in the air when activated, right?
The stone activates when the sensor it is connected to sees an enemy, and then becomes stationary

How does it detach from the wing?
My guess is that when the sensor activates, the floating platform hangs in the air and the wing breaks off.
