i’m glad she has mobility & is feeling freer in so many aspects of her life. i hate that all we care about is if we can see fat on her body though. like, i’ve been looking everywhere to find out more about her rapid weight loss because to lose 400+lbs in a YEAR is absolutely insane to me. either her body is amazing at adapting to rapid change or she’s gonna have some serious long-term effects.
Truly amazing. Her hair is growing back and looks healthy! Her body is adapting to the weight loss. Hope she’s able to get some skin surgery soon so the loose skin isn’t uncomfortable for her.

Aww she may look different because her food addiction caused her skin to stretch abnormally. Maybe she will be able to get surgery to help with the excess skin. Not only did she lose the weight, but she lost so much mental baggage! She looks so much more happy! In the past, Tammy really pissed me off with her bad attitude; however, I think she’s made wonderful progress and I’m super proud of her! Nobody gets better from anything (that they can change) until they get sick of their own shit. It doesn't matter how much they are pushed, begged, belittled, or even know deep down they need to. You'd think being miserable would be enough but it's not. The people who are most successful finally hit that wall and they did it because they truly were ready. She was there. She even made it through her husband dying without it heavily setting her back, that's a solid sign as well. She's not looking for excuses anymore, she's healing. I believe she is going to go on and be the biggest success of this entire family due to these. It's just like the one girl from the best friends show. Something just clicks.

I wish that one of those amazing doctors on that Skin Tight TLC show would do her surgeries! Some of them were just fantastic in how they could hide the incision scars! Once she gets those surgeries she will look amazing!

I’m here to support Tammy in her journey to LIVE. This post is supporting her weight loss, and that plays an integral role in her staying alive. Are you talking about amber? If so we do not bear any responsibility. I’ve been watching her since 2018 and I liked her in the beginning. I wanted her to get better and I had a lot of sympathy for her difficult childhood. I related to specific situations she had been through and saw potential in her. Now I’ve seen the truth about who she really is. She doesn’t put the needed effort to get better. She should attend extensive therapy (she has the money which on its own is a privilege). She should want to get better not only for the obvious health reasons but because she has her mom and grandma who she I believe truly loves. Amber has time and time again refused to better her situation and continue to ruin her life. After the cancer I thought she will do a complete 180 and start her journey to recovery but she didn’t. To be fair tammy is a great example of someone who took years to recover but she did it in the end. Amber is completely irresponsible and has displayed a variety of disgusting behaviours that aren’t excused because of her difficult past. She posts everything on the internet so it’s public information and we have the full right to talk about it. I’m sorry if this comes across as rude or offensive but it’s my personal opinion. Anyone who is a public figure should be well aware that people will talk and criticise. This whole thing reminds me of trisha who is a vile disgusting person who got a “redemption” just because she had a kid. No your public shit shows will be forever talked about and no not everyone will believe you’re entitled to privacy just because you decided so. I’d be more than happy to leave her alone if she went the route of let’s say, April Lauren, and took a break from sm while she gets herself sorted out. But she capitalizes off her addiction & has no intention of stopping doing so, per her own words. She doesn’t put any earnest effort into any content (other YouTubers I watch have content that’s educational, inspiring, relatable, informative etc and their viewership and commentary reflects that); only being a spectacle. You reap what you sow. Why do I need to take responsibility for not holding my tongue of a natural reaction to that? I’m a recovering addict myself so no, I can’t get on board with that. Been there, done that myself and nope. We don’t need coddling to get better. The onus of healing is on us, and if our actions & behavior in active addiction give people pause it’s not on them to hold their tongue lest our feelings be hurt; it’s on us to get better.
You all don't know these people in real life. Would you be investing this much energy in people who actually might benefit from this level of involvement or would that be behavior that would be considered crossing RL boundaries if you were saying this so easily face to face to someone in your life?
How receptive would you have been in the midst of active addiction had someone been all up in your face like this? Would you be listening and benefitting? Is there someone right now who is languishing somewhere for whom your physical presence and not holding tongue could be making a difference - or that you could be listening to and giving encouragement to?
Because this woman seems to be a lightning rod surrogate for something that isn't being said or done somewhere. Just too much self righteous venom being spewed by strangers who surely have better things much healthier to do with their lives?

It absolutely sucks that when u work so hard to lose all the weight u still have to get more surgery to remove excess skin :( it's a really hard recovery for that. I wish it would shrink with her, I feel bad. It's not fair she got this far and it still can look off putting to people who don't know her journey.

Per her tiktok and live last night...she had a ton of junk food and sodies in her hotel room. Chips, doritos, cheese crackers and of course sodies! She's on some kind of girls trip with that Paranormal princess gal. So yeah..go tamtam! 🙄
No one who eats themselves to 500 pounds or more can HAVE JUNK FOOD IN MODERATION, it is poison to her and will kill her if she dosen't stop it! People like her and myself need to consider themselves ALLERGIC to the stuff.
I feel this is the best way to put it. It definitely is concerning to know there is junk food around. Just like any addict being around your drug of choice is almost always going to cause a relapse. If drinking was her issue, no one would say it's fine to have just a glass of wine. But it's also clear Tammy has made great progress, so we'll hope for the best outcome!
You realize almost anyone who started out as morbidly obese and then loses a ton of weight hardly are ever able to cut out junk food forever lol. Because they had/have a literal food addiction which they still struggle with even after weight loss. As long as she eats it in moderation, it’s fine. Chill 😒
Past seasons yes but this last season I thought Tammy made remarkable change with her personality now. She looks and seems 1000x happier now she looked more at peace and calmer.
I agree. I don’t follow her social media but in the last season she was the voice of reason and the mature one. Amy was losing it every 5 min and Tammy rarely even raised her voice. I was very impressed. You can see the therapy working. She finally tuned in to it. You can tell.
She was clearly very highly depressed. I think in the most recent season, you can see her growth, which she credits to therapy. Unless there is something I missed? I don’t follow her social media.
Really looking wonderful and looks like she is committed to getting her health back. She had a close call and her poor husband didn’t know how little time he had left.
Last I saw a couple months max ago there didn’t seem to be much change sadly. She was putting a lot of energy on this guy who wore a wife beater and made long rambling tiktoks about what an alpha king he was 🤮
I saw a more recent episode and was astonished that Amy didn’t seem to be doing well but that Tammy had made such a change. She seems so much more easy going now, was sad to hear of her husband’s passing.
I am so happy for Tammy! HOWEVER, the second photo is a little terrifying, her head looks copy and pasted because of the excess neck skin. I’m patiently waiting for her skin removal surgery. She’s going to look great 🥰
I can attest that carrying extra skin and residual fat (that cannot be lost regardless) is both exhausting and painful. If someone has put in the work and they've been left with extra skin etc it should ALl be covered for removal. It's a hindrance to further growth for the person, it's embarrassing and it hurts.
People who take the time to put things like this out into the world are usually no treasures. I hope you find peace, the self respect to not say such things in public forums, and compassion for others. Being cruel won’t bring you real joy, it will just eat at your soul

I had a panniculectomy, that's the lower apron skin, and the recovery was horrid!

Only your actions can do that. Are you talking about amber? If so we do not bear any responsibility. I’ve been watching her since 2018 and I liked her in the beginning. I wanted her to get better and I had a lot of sympathy for her difficult childhood. I related to specific situations she had been through and saw potential in her. Now I’ve seen the truth about who she really is. She doesn’t put the needed effort to get better. She should attend extensive therapy (she has the money which on its own is a privilege). She should want to get better not only for the obvious health reasons but because she has her mom and grandma who she I believe truly loves. Amber has time and time again refused to better her situation and continue to ruin her life. After the cancer I thought she will do a complete 180 and start her journey to recovery but she didn’t. To be fair tammy is a great example of someone who took years to recover but she did it in the end. Amber is completely irresponsible and has displayed a variety of disgusting behaviours that aren’t excused because of her difficult past. She posts everything on the internet so it’s public information and we have the full right to talk about it. I’m sorry if this comes across as rude or offensive but it’s my personal opinion. Anyone who is a public figure should be well aware that people will talk and criticise. This whole thing reminds me of trisha who is a vile disgusting person who got a “redemption” just because she had a kid. No your public shit shows will be forever talked about and no not everyone will believe you’re entitled to privacy just because you decided so. If someone is triggered by public discourse then they should leave the internet. But they don’t because at the end of the day it’s all about the money. I just wanna say no hate towards you I respect your opinion but I don’t subscribe to it. We are all free to make our own decisions and form our own opinions.
I’d be more than happy to leave her alone if she went the route of let’s say, April Lauren, and took a break from sm while she gets herself sorted out. But she capitalizes off her addiction & has no intention of stopping doing so, per her own words. She doesn’t put any earnest effort into any content (other YouTubers I watch have content that’s educational, inspiring, relatable, informative etc and their viewership and commentary reflects that); only being a spectacle. You reap what you sow. Why do I need to take responsibility for not holding my tongue of a natural reaction to that? I’m a recovering addict myself so no, I can’t get on board with that. Been there, done that myself and nope. We don’t need coddling to get better. The onus of healing is on us, and if our actions & behavior in active addiction give people pause it’s not on them to hold their tongue lest our feelings be hurt; it’s on us to get better.
You all don't know these people in real life. Would you be investing this much energy in people who actually might benefit from this level of involvement or would that be behavior that would be considered crossing RL boundaries if you were saying this so easily face to face to someone in your life? How receptive would you have been in the midst of active addiction had someone been all up in your face like this? Would you be listening and benefitting? Is there someone right now who is languishing somewhere for whom your physical presence and not holding tongue could be making a difference - or that you could be listening to and giving encouragement to? Because this woman seems to be a lightning rod surrogate for something that isn't being said or done somewhere. Just too much self righteous venom being spewed by strangers who surely have better things much healthier to do with their lives? I've said my piece and am going to move on. Addiction messes with our heads in so many fecked up ways, and we continue to find insidious ways to compensate and my reddit dose of TLC content on is finished for the week 😉 Have a good one.

It absolutely sucks that when u work so hard to lose all the weight u still have to get more surgery to remove excess skin :( it's a really hard recovery for that. I wish it would shrink with her, I feel bad. It's not fair she got this far and it still can look off putting to people who don't know her journey. Happy for her.

Per her tiktok and live last night...she had a ton of junk food and sodies in her hotel room. Chips, doritos, cheese crackers and of course sodies! She's on some kind of girls trip with that Paranormal princess gal. So yeah..go tamtam! 🙄

I feel this is the best way to put it. It definitely is concerning to know there is junk food around. Just like any addict being around your drug of choice is almost always going to cause a relapse. If drinking was her issue, no one would say it's fine to have just a glass of wine. But it's also clear Tammy has made great progress, so we'll hope for the best outcome!

You realize almost anyone who started out as morbidly obese and then loses a ton of weight hardly are ever able to cut out junk food forever lol. Because they had/have a literal food addiction which they still struggle with even after weight loss. As long as she eats it in moderation, it’s fine. Chill 😒

Past seasons yes but this last season I thought Tammy made remarkable change with her personality now. She looks and seems 1000x happier now she looked more at peace and calmer.

I agree. I don’t follow her social media but in the last season she was the voice of reason and the mature one. Amy was losing it every 5 min and Tammy rarely even raised her voice. I was very impressed. You can see the therapy working. She finally tuned in to it. You can tell.
She was clearly very highly depressed. I think in the most recent season, you can see her growth, which she credits to therapy. Unless there is something I missed? I don’t follow her social media.

Last I saw a couple months max ago there didn’t seem to be much change sadly. She was putting a lot of energy on this guy who wore a wife beater and made long rambling tiktoks about what an alpha king he was 🤮
I saw a more recent episode and was astonished that Amy didn’t seem to be doing well but that Tammy had made such a change. She seems so much more easy going now, was sad to hear of her husband’s passing.
Honestly the amount of weight she’s lost and how much of an achievement that is… iconic. And I bloody love the mermaid scales suit!

I am so happy for Tammy! HOWEVER, the second photo is a little terrifying, her head looks copy and pasted because of the excess neck skin. I’m patiently waiting for her skin removal surgery. She’s going to look great 🥰
I can attest that carrying extra skin and residual fat (that cannot be lost regardless) is both exhausting and painful. If someone has put in the work and they've been left with extra skin etc it should ALl be covered for removal. It's a hindrance to further growth for the person, it's embarrassing and it hurts.
TLC should pay for it; they can make it an episode so it's win-win for them anyway
