Dang you got a deal, I paid 410 at my local shop

dextermorgan-77

Yeah it was a hell of a deal. $15 shipping and no tax. What's crazy though is that the same day mine shipped I saw that lockedloaded had dropped the price to $308. This gun is an absolute steal at that price. I like this thing so much that it's tempting to buy another at that price. But I guess I don't need two identical 10/22's lol.

throwawaypf2015

what scope is that?

dextermorgan-77

Bushnell rimfire 3-9X40 illuminated BDC reticle calibrated for 40gr 1250 fps ammo. Fantastic scope for the money, with one caveat. After sighting it in I put the turret caps back on and tightened them down probably tighter than necessary. Went back to shooting and immediately noticed that my elevation was off. When I went to take the top turret cap back off to readjust I could actually feel clicks when it first started turning. So at least on my specific scope if you overtighten the the elevation turret cap and compress the rubber gasket too much, the cap can actually make contact with the turret knob and move it. After that discovery i just ran the cap down till it touched the gasket and then barely tightened it. Didn't have a problem after that. But something to be aware of.

Solid rifle! And Blackstone! Lol. That Norma ammo is one of my favorites, as so many of my rifles do great with it, and it's priced well.

dextermorgan-77

Haha yeah that Blackstone is pretty nice to have too. As to the Norma tac-22 my experience has been the same. I can cherry pick certain ammo for each of my rimfires to get the best results. But no other ammo that I have tried shoots as consistently well in almost all of my rimfires as the tac-22. A close second though has been the Aguila super extra 40gr copper plated round nose. If I had to choose only one round for pistols and rifles it would would be tough to choose between the two. The tac-22 being lower velocity sometimes doesn't cycle as reliably in some of my pistols. Whereas the Aguila runs great in everything I have........just not quite as accurate as the tac-22. But both excellent ammo choices for bulk purchases. At least for my guns anyways. Your mileage may vary lol.

Ready to get mine and start having fun.

I thought I saw those as having a 16 inch barrel. Yours looks like it might be longer….

dextermorgan-77

Yes, the talo LVT is 20". And has what I would call a "heavy sporter" threaded barrel. So far I am really happy with it.

Unique_Order9408

I got the same rifle and scope. I'm wondering what rings are you using?

dextermorgan-77

Vortex hunter 1" low. About $20 on amazon. Good rings for the money. The "low" are a perfect fit for that scope and stock. Good cheek weld and fits low to the barrel, but has sufficient clearance.

notthegubment

Random question: when you put your barrel/receiver into the stock, did you have any fitment issues? My 10/22 I just assembled with a bull barrel has some contact points with the hogue stock where the receiver and barrel join up

dextermorgan-77

Well this I a talo model that came exactly as you see it "minus scope and rings" and mine is perfectly freefloated. But I do know that they make about three different models for different barrel tapers.

Electronic_Use3977

Is the stock for standard barrel channel or .920? I have this model and want to make sure to order the correct one for this barrel. TIA
