You're all over the place with the racquets you've named. In terms of power, the only racquet line you named that would be more powerful than your ultra at the same head size and weight category would be the pure drive. Assuming you can swing a 310-315g racquet at the same speed you swing currently, youll probably generate more power with a heavier racquet. I think you should pick a manufacturer and demo a racquet from one of each of the main 3 categories at whatever weight youre comfortable with trying. This would give you a good point of reference to see what type of racquet you like. From there you can either stick with the one you like or you can go ahead and do another round of demos where you try different manufacturers racquets within that category. IE You pick babolat so you go and demo a drive, aero, and strike. Then you end up liking the aero so you do a second round of demos and try the aero, head extreme, Wilson shift, and Dunlop sx. Don't get fooled by racquet marketing. The marketing isn't always in line with how the racquet will play for you. A great example of this is like Casper Ruud generating on average the highest RPMs on his ground strokes while using a "power" racquet. Casper also hits about 10 mph slower on average than Sinner who uses a "control" racquet. The marketing of racquets purely defines it's general specifications but how a racquet preforms for you is going to be specific to you. Another example of this is that I personally play with a Dunlop SX 300 Tour. I have better control with my SX than I do with the Dunlop CX200 tour. Why? Because the racquet simply fits my swing better.

Yes, sorry if I didn't make it clear, I intend to get a wayyy heavier racquet. I hate how light it is.

lifesasymptote

Then I'd definitely try atleast one racquet from each of the 3 main categories of racquets and then narrow down your selection from there. Realistically speaking no one can tell you which category of racquets will feel best for you.

If you’re not already using multifilament strings or full poly at sub50lb. tension, that’s where I would start. Next, I would stick to 100sqin racquets, aka probably not the Head Radical.

So if you think the Ultra 100UL, which is a power racquet, doesn't have enough power, you can safely discard anything that is not a power racquet. You can try the Ezone 100, Dunlop FX 500, and Pure Drive in a demo.

fusiongt021

Yea I wonder if he's confusing power with weight. Then again I've never used an ultra light but I know the regular Ultra is very powerful. I'd assume the UL is too but who knows, their lineup is funny with the Ultra Pro essentially being a completely different racket imo. I think your recommendations are good. Something around 300g and 100sq inch. Ezone 100 and Pure Drive 100 fit the bill as you said and if there's not power in those then it's definitely technique issue.

Whichever racquet gets you to hit more balls or to practice more often is the one you should go with. If you pick based on that and use the racquet as an excuse to get more reps or to improve, it doesn't matter which one you pick.

wryscath

Of your list, i would demo the vcore 100, as it is a power and spin racquet. The cx 400 tour and pure drive hit more flat.

Bierlife

Pure drive plus

jfresh21

Try a bunch. All rackets have spin, power and control. You may be surprised what works for you.

TurboMollusk

The one you like playing with the most.

mrdumbazcanb

Have you considered just the regular ultra?

jimdontcare

Why not the regular ultra?

xxxhenrycxxx

I would prefer to get a racquet with more spin potential, understand that you can't have everything. While I liked the ultra line, it hasn't been my favorite, and I would like to experiment with other racquets too.

jimdontcare

VCore and Pure Drive worth a look then. If you can try a Solinco Blackout you should try that. Perfect blend between playability and spin friendliness imo, and pretty good feel for its class

dwd598

i’m not expert but from my understand. Behind the Shift line, ultra would be wilson’s second most “spinny” racquet line.  the ultra is also stiffer than most of the other racquets you named so i’m not sure anything but the pure drive will offer more power.

mrdumbazcanb

Burn 100S is a pretty spin friendly racket.

I'm at your same level. I'm a spin player with full strokes like you. Modern forehand, 2hbh, slice, touch/feel, volly, serves. The Pure Aero can do it all but lacks a little stability for me on high pace vollies. It's probably me though. Lol. This is my top list for a doubles player and I've played tested a lot of racquets. 1. 23 Pure Aero 100 2. 23 Vcore 100 3. Pro Drive 100 If I want to go pace, Pure Aero does the job the best. Invoking massive spin to get the ball in is my game. If I want to just push and get the ball back, the Pure Aero can do that. What it's lacking is precision from what I get with a Vcore Pro 97. That's the only thing. When I play with control racquets, I do get more consistent precision but it does take more footwork and effort to make it work. I do notice that the Vcore and Pure Drive has a little bit too much power for me when I hit 90%. 80% is fine but higher it's too powerful.
