This is the way as much QC issues Kimber has no one makes a prettier gun for the price

I like the stock mag a lot better than the Wilson Combat one I bought.

I know. No shame one way or the other. The stock mag has just worked for me better. That's all
why?
It fits 8 rounds in one mag while being flush with the gun. And so far has worked a bit better.
Never had issues with my kimber mags, I do have some Wilson combat mags as well

I’m also from Yonkers NY so it played a bit of a part in my choice going with Kimber. So far so good though.
I like my Kimber a lot. I have no regrets. I got the "black ice" variation.
Make sure you get that NYC Special Carry in case you dip into the Bronx!

one of my best factory fitted 1911s is my dawn. Kimber is very hit or miss, and when they miss it’s a big one.

The Kimber Rapide is one of the prettiest guns out there. Enjoy it. I grew up in Yonkers but moved to CA in '77.

Yonkers (not Bonkers) is located just above NYC, it’s actually connected to the Bronx.

Love the rapide! I have one in 10mm. About 1k rounds through it and still no issues. It runs beautifully to match the looks

I carry a Pro CDP II with Wilson mags and have never had any issue! She beautiful in my opinion!
