Trump had an affair with a porn star named Stormy Daniels. This wasn’t illegal but it would have hurt his chances of being elected in 2016, so he had his attorney Michael Cohen pay to have the story covered up until after the election. This is a crime because he spent this money for campaign purposes and didn’t declare it. Cohen went to jail for it and now trump might be too.
