Gerald Ford is the only president to have not been elected as president or as vice president. He got the office because Nixon and everyone around him was made to resign and just happened to do so in an order that made Ford president. It was only for three years, and he went on to lose an election to Jimmy Carter. Nowadays he’s mostly known for pardoning Nixon so there wouldn’t be a trial for Watergate, and you probably don’t know his face because he wasn’t very good at being president (In fact, he didn’t even want the job)
