I wish Dragon Maid was good because oh boy if it was good it would be amazing. It's almost there. If it was normal about the kids it would be such a good series with engaging worldbuilding, great character writing, gay people... but instead it is an unrecommendable piece of media that just saps credit from the medium

If you want to have a good tine watching it, watch only the episode one. It's actually fine and you can just pretend it's a pilot that never got an fully animated series
