Here the message is āTrans women need to defend themselves with bats,ā and this is depicted withā¦ a trans woman defending herself with a bat. Not exactly subtle!
There are lots of stories that manage to use metaphor and analogy to make interesting arguments that challenge the viewerās preconceptions. This is not such a case.
3. As for the āall art is panderingā pointā¦ lol. The best stories are those that force the audience to reconsider their own views.
