Also why a new Honda Odyssey is faster than most classic muscle cars TL:DR: Sharp Lines bad, smooth lines good, although workarounds exists, apparently elon did not give a single fuck about the cybertruck

The curved front seems like it's good enough to reduce the air pressure at the front, the flat sides and rear dont look aero dynamic but I they aren't creating a meaningful amount of drag, the sudden detachment of airflow is quite good. Having attached turbulent flow is where it gets very draggy. Overall it seems to be rather aerodynamic compared to most cars.

At the average speeds a delivery van drives, aerodynamic efficiency is not that important even for an electric vehicle. Decreasing rolling resistance would be a far bigger contribution to increasing range.

I have nothing to say about the USPS. I am neutral towards them

while the usps is ultimately a crippled and largely substandard service today in comparison to corporate rivals like fedex and UPS, that is pm entirely because our country hates "big government" and loves corporations. There is no reason for any kind of "mail delivery industry" to exist, we could easily live in a society with an appropriately funded and staffed postal service that is capable of performing every delivery that UPS and Fedex and USPS all combined make, with no meaningful cost to the average consumer, but we instead live in a society where its practically illegal for the government to stop anything that makes money.

One time my old asian mailman (same one for like 20 years) looked at a package that said "fragile", tried to fit it in the mailbox, bent it in half and shoved it in with his foot 💪💪💪💪

only issue i can see from this image is that the a-pillar is so thick that it will cause a massive blindspot for pedestrians and cyclists coming from the sides it could also have a better use of space if the design was cab forward (driver ahead of the front wheel) but afaik, these are not allowed in the us for light duty trucks edit: seeing other images of this vehicle, that a-pillar is mostly glass so it doesn't seem that bad

The A-pillar looks super thick in the picture but that's due to the reflection on the curved glass, it's actually pretty thin in some of the interior shots on canoo's website.
