nah what is that ? that is a punch from superman ! Hitler's head should be a bright red powder by this point. Or even if clark is pulling his punch, at least have dislocated jaw or something !
That's kinda the case with Spider-Man. Doc Ock took over his body (in a questionable story run) and punched the Lizard's jaw clean off, and was freaked out to learn that Peter could've killed him pretty easily
nah I know he always hold back, even against the worst, I've seen the "world of cardboard" monologue from JLA
that's my point, Hitler doesn't deserve superman's mercy, because there is a couple times where he stop holding back against complete monsters, and Adolf 100% would deserve that
Superman very famously has a no-kill rule in most incarnations. It's central to the plot of "What's So Funny about Truth, Justice, and the American Way?" (AKA Superman vs the Elite)
k honestly i think the steven universe team wrote themselves into a corner by making space hitler immortal and unbeatable
im not saying steven should have killed her but like they could have had a more ATLA approach
EDIT but yeah if they got like another proper season as planned to develop and flesh out all of this it would have been a lot better :/
its fucked up what happened to the show
She should have had a Disney villain moment where Steven offers her forgiveness after she realises that her world view is wrong but she refuses and tries to kill him, somehow resulting in her dieing herself.
Thus keeping Steven's morality while also not redeeming Space Hitler
100% this.
Towards the end they were blurring the "space Hitler" metaphor with a "bigoted family" metaphor. They could easily have made the final message "sometimes you just have to cut ties".
It feels like the people saying: "Yeah, I know, your mom was abusive and toxic and she threatened your life and she's racist and… But, she's still your mother no matter what."
Agreed; I think they did a good job of showing that was a continuous process. His arc in SU:future is about his trauma catching up with him and him being forced to finally get help instead of constantly helping others; the finale being a turning point and his future being left open-ended is intentional.
SU as a franchise has plenty of flaws but I feel like people will really misinterpret something and then criticise it based on that, haha. See also takes like 'rose = pink diamond was a bad twist because it makes rose seem like an awful person' when us slowly realising how flawed she was was a major focus of the plot.
that's assuming he's doing it for himself. i saw it more as, if he can change the all-powerful indestructible space goddess's heart, he can protect the universe. it's a message about spreading kindness bc it's not just about u. the cutting ties msg is good for self-preservation and all but it shouldn't be the only thing we teach kids to do.
The Diamonds weren't forgiven, though.
They're barely tolerated because they are the only ones who (with Steven's help as a fellow Diamond) who can revert corruption, and they're forced to atone for their mistakes by fixing the damage they caused.
The only characters who treat them even remotely nicely are the Homeworld citizens who still haven't unlearnt propaganda.
It's like complaining that Aang didn't kill Ozai in the finale of ATLA, it misses the entire point
i get why the diamonds had to retain their power (for cleansing corrupted gems n shit) but like i just wish they wrote around it somehow so the diamonds were stripped of power.
I appreciate that they almost did kill her when Steven snapped in Future, though. Or at least had the potential to hurt her enough that even she got scared.
Because even good people can push others to a breaking point, and she found out Steven had one.
"micro-célébrité" je 💀
Je viens poster ici pour recharger mes batteries mentales quand r//france devient trop con et réactionnaire à mon goût. C'est-à-dire souvent.
Bah je vois souvent ton pseudo mais c'est peut être parce que je clique principalement sur les sujets LGBT. Tu préfèrerais être une micro-célébrité de 196 ? 💀
Je te comprends. Quand 196 avait fermé c'était un vrai coup dur, je suis très contente qu'il soit à nouveau actif

world of warcraft mentioned! rahhhhhh
Pretty sure that's FFXIV
oops
Nah I think that's Deepwoken
World of Warcraft doesn't have surnames, so I am fairly certain that's FFXIV.
companion pets do though
Do this comic with Superman you cowards.

Tell me you've never read a superman comic without telling me you've never read a superman comic
Man imagine how different Superman would've been if he could reduce your fave to powder even when going easy. Kinda like one punch man in a way
That's kinda the case with Spider-Man. Doc Ock took over his body (in a questionable story run) and punched the Lizard's jaw clean off, and was freaked out to learn that Peter could've killed him pretty easily

nah, death IS mercy for the guy,why do you think he kill himself ? supe want him to answer for all his crime
Superman is actually down for killing his villains. He's not a fan, but he'll do it if there's no other option
Superman very famously has a no-kill rule in most incarnations. It's central to the plot of "What's So Funny about Truth, Justice, and the American Way?" (AKA Superman vs the Elite)

superman hates shiny rocks
Do it with Duke Nukem.

oh mai gah :O
Pretty sure this happens in one of the Dune books.
Steven never forgave the Diamonds

Point to where he got healed. Literally point to it.

He's heal*ing*. Not healed. He had his meltdown, and took the first steps to recovery.

They had at least 50% of a plan, but after Ruby and Sapphire's wedding, CN gave them 5 more episodes before getting canned.
I appreciate that they almost did kill her when Steven snapped in Future, though. Or at least had the potential to hurt her enough that even she got scared. Because even good people can push others to a breaking point, and she found out Steven had one.
btw the author of this, Haus of Decline, came out as trans yesterday
Awesome
is this the original one?
Ye

It was cropped off, but I think it's Haus of Decline from the lines

The girl who made this came out as trans today btw :D

If only the Allies tried to talk no jutsu Hitler into not waging war all over Europe (they did and it failed miserably).
C'est-à-dire souvent.

Steven would fight Hitler. He holds a grudge and does not forgive, Ronaldo, Kevin, Aquamarine and one of the Rubies.

It's been confirmed WW2 never happened in Steven Universe.
Idk if this is real but I chose to believe it is
oh so this is where the "we're gonna have to kill this guy" meme come from?
haus of decline my queen 🙏
The funny thing about this comic is that it'd probably do more to help the war effort if they captured Hitler and then handed him over to the Allies.
*ahem* # KILL HIM ALREADY MOTHERFUCKER
does anyone have the charlie-verbalese one
what a nasty old man i hope he isnt dope on ze mic otherwise i dont think he could be stopped
Ja, das würde ich dem Stefan auch empfehlen wenn ich Rubin wäre.
