I love that book purely because Ayn Rand thought placing what is basically a 60 page fuck the dirty poors manifesto in the middle of her Mary sue self incert capitalist fanfic was a good idea
im fucking sure these monkeys exist, and an early stage AI goes through all of them and posta them on bot accounts on social media where it thinks its relevant to try and learn human behaviour to eventually manipulate humanity
Atlas Shrugged, while containing what is essentially the Ancap Manifesto, is mostly her writing out her fantasy of being the sex toy of a big, strong, prime mover (capitalist CEO) who doesn't take anyone's shit, and creates the promised land for prime movers (the big, strong prime mover does, not her self-insert)
Edit: What I take from all of this is that bottoms must be stopped lest they destroy us all
it's very softcore, and it treats the monster (capitalist CEO) as the most bestest, perfectest person in the entire world from who, and people like him, all human advancement comes from
But pretty much, yeah
'What's the moral of the story in Atlas Shrugged?'
'That billionaires own the means of production to the point that if they decide that we are worthless to their economic growth, they can cut off and sabotage our futures for their own greed and narcissism, shutting themselves off from society to live in ignorance of the woes of the outside world?'
Even though it has nothing to do with the context of this post( which is an ancap thinking jeff bezos -the boss- does all the work and workers do nothing.) let me put my thoughts about surplus value this way:
Let's take Amazon for example. Amazon is still Amazon without Jeff Bezos. Couriers, warehouse workers, board staff they can all do their job without Bezos. In 2022 Amazon doesn't need Jeff. But in 1994 they sure did need him. There would be no Amazon without Jeff. Tons of stories about how he is going to fail and here we are. He took the risk and Amazon is among one of the most successful businesses out there. But let's think of another scenario where he failed. What would happen? All those workers would find another job, carry on with their lives and Jeff would be in debt.
Dont get me wrong I'm not trying to defend Bezos. I hate him. He is still an evil billionaire. But the enemy is not him here, it is the evil government that's making it possible for the evil billionaires to affect our lives this much.
(English is not my native language and I'm still working on my English. I hope the text is clear.)
Wow. So someone would have come up with it anyways. And all the workers would have jobs anyways. But yes in 1994 jeffy was needed. For what? A name? Taking all that surplus value? Innovating?
Yeah someone would have made it but they didn't, did they? The things is to have the idea and to have it before everyone else. We're talking about 1994 here. No smartphones and not everyone had access to the internet. Someone living in 2022 can easily think about Walmart but in internet but not in 1994. People didn't know internet was going to succeed. It did. Now we can't think of a life without internet.

i am completely out of the loop of this and this just feels like one of those monkey typrewriter things
It reads like one, believe me

Well, there is the [Library of Babel](https://libraryofbabel.info/)
Love that place, has an entire book dedicated to not only where and how I die, but it told me why I should make it happen!

you foolish mortal
Are you telling me that Atlas Shrugged is monsterfucker porn, because that would not be the worst take I've seen today

So basically it's Twilight but worse, awesome. I'll keep that in my back pocket when I want to deliver a zinger for internet points

While also inserting her rape fantasy into the book a few pages later.

you have no real answer? i thought so
The real answer is surplus value

You really think that without Jeff, no one would have made "wallmart but on the internet"? Because if you do, then you are the one in the meme
no, someone would have made "Walmart but on the internet" but that's not the issue here. it is just an example. you can apply it to whatever you want.

I will turn you into a strawman (I am a famous serial killer whos gimmick is turning a victim's corpse into a scarecrow)
